Bountiful Baskets

We have been hanging out with out friends the Ard's a lot more lately.  Kelsi works with me at school and we student taught together this last fall.  They were talking about how they always get bountiful baskets and they were wondering if we wanted to split it.  When you split if the cost is only $7.50 per couple.  They came over this morning so we could split up the goods.

Our fruit take.  Kelsi volunteered so we got two mini watermelons.  I was supposed to go but could not find them.  They don't like pineapple so they gave it to us and we gave them extra bananas.

Our veggie take.  They don't like cauliflower so we took it and gave them extra broccoli.  I can't wait to make cauliflower poppers with it.  Plus it is green cauliflower and I have never had that before.

It is so nice that on wight watcher fruits and veggies are 0 pp and so I can eat lots of them.  I am thinking that the next time we get one we might get our own.  It depends though on our budget.    All I know though is that bountiful baskets is my new friend.

We are now a family of three!!!

On Thursday of this week one of my students parents came into school to talk to me and update me on his sons appointment with his doctor.  As we were talking I brought up the new puppy they had gotten because her son always talked about it.  She told me that she was going to take it to the animal shelter because she could not find someone to take him.  She asked if we would be interested.  I knew Jacob would die if we got a puppy and he would be good with it but I told her I had to ask him and get back to her.  As soon as the words came out of my mouth Jacob was ready to die.  So after work we headed to their house to get our new puppy.  At first my student wash;t very excited but after talking for about 15 minute he gave "Ace" (we change his name to Jackson) a kiss and told him he loved him and he carried the puppy to our car.  We brought him home and have been on a roller coaster ever since.
Jacob and Jackson in the car as soon as we got home.  His first car ride ever.

Me and Jackson

First family picture ever!

Jackson's first meal at home.

Such a cutie.

we took him to see our friends the Lybbertt's.  Guy loved Jackson, he was so cute with him.

The kiddos playing with both dogs.

Super cute Paige.

Jackson did not know what to think of Chico.
When we tried to take him out to go potty he just sat down.  Then we took him inside and he peed in the living room and pooped in the dining room (2x).   This is part of the roller-coaster I was talking about.

He loves Jacob and when Jacob rubs or scratches his belly.  He kicks his foot against the couch.

His first walk.   He was a little confused and so it took forever.  I think he is still trying to get use to the leash.

I love my new cuddle buddy.

This is from today (Saturday) so we have had him for two whole days.  He pretty much slept all day.  He is a pretty cute sleeper though.  I have done a lot better with the whole potty training thing.  I got some advice from friends at work and my sister Nicole and they seem to be helping.

M co-worker brought by her black lab Annie to meet Jackson.  I thought the size comparison was pretty great.  Jack looks so small next to her.

Just "playing" together.  I think Annie really didn't want anything to do with Jack.  They were pretty cute though.

Jackson following Annie.  He got in trouble because he followed her into the street and he has never done that before.

Jackson and I walked to the Lybbertt's and spent some time with them.

Guy loves Jackson but he nibbles on people and things and so when Guy was trying to touch his face Jackson nibble and scared Guy to death.

See I told you Guy loves him
He is a lot of work and sometimes I am frustrated and want to get rid of him.  However, we have only had him 3 days and I love him.  I could never get rid of him.  I never thought I could get so excited over a dog going pee and poop outside.  He has made so much progress already.  Yesterday I couldn't even count the amount of accidents he had inside the house.  Today with a little more help from me he has only had three accidents and one was my fault because I did not take him out right after I got home.  He is just going to get better and then we won't even have to worry about it.  He is such a great addition to our family and I can't imagine our lives without him.

Mesa Falls Date Night

It has been a struggle living here for over 3 years and not having a car most of that time. we have heard about the fun sites to visit close to the Burg but have not been to many of them.   We went to Yellowstone for the first time this October and this last Wednesday we drove to Mesa Falls.  We left right after my ENT appointment and the doctor thought the road might be closed.  We did not know who to call so we took our chances and drove there anyway.  So glad we did because we had such a good time.
I was a little bored so I took a lot of pictures of myself.  Let's be honest I love to take picture of myself and always have.

I can be a little silly at times too.

Jacob making me happy and smiling. I have to document everything.

He is kinda silly and requested this picture.

I told you I was bored.  Since I have started working out I have become kinda vain and really love my legs. I think they look muscular.

I am super strong. LOL!!!

Loving the trees. Reminds me of home.

My hubby and I.  We stopped at a lookout point.  The mountains were beautiful.

Jacob at the upper falls.

My hubby and I looking cute as can be.

There was still some snow where they did not get enough sun.

Leave it to me to make a funny face.  This is the lower part of the upper falls.

We decided to make a date night into a workout.  We decided to run down and up all of the stairs we came to.  It was a way better workout then we thought.

A view of the right side of the stairs.  The left side that we came down is pretty much identical.

I love me some Idaho clouds.  I took this picture out the window.  I faced the camera up and hoped for a good picture.

I really am not vain but I really love this picture.  I am happy with the life changes we have been making and I am loving living a healthy life.  This is at the lower falls.

My strong man.

.Jacob wanted me to show how high up he was.  Funny thing is the picture really does not show the cliff.

We raced up this path from the lower falls.  It was so nice to run instead of walk.

On the way hoe we saw this farm machine.  We have no idea what it is but our car probably would have fit under it.  I just thought it was funny how big it is.
Jacob and I were talking on the way home about how we like our new frame of mind.  Normally we would have barely made it up the stairs but today we ran up it, tired but we did it.  I love the changes we have made and can't wait to see what our new life will bring us.
