A Music Note

The other day one of my piano students gave me this "poem" (as she called it), and I wanted to share it with you. She is the cutest little 7 year old girl and has been doing great so far in her lessons. In case you can't read it very well it says:
You are a asom techer
I think you are cool,
and a sweet techer.
Love, Taylor
The other page says: P.S. You are a roking (rocking) techer!
She had just learned how to draw treble clefs and bass clefs that week, so I guess she was excited about them!
I thought it was so cute of her to give me this and it made my day! It reminded me why I love teaching piano!

Happy Birthday Jana!!

I just wanted to tell my sweet, fun, beautiful sister Happy Birthday! She is 24 today! We always have a good time when we are together and she keeps me laughing. Wish I could be there in paradise to help you celebrate!

Christmas Recap No. 2

One day we went to Lambert's in Sikeston, MO to experience the home of the "throwed roll". Anyone else ever been? It is just what it says, they throw you a roll when you raise your hand. Jacob even found a scripture that could be Lambert's motto. (Zechariah 5:1 "Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.") Fortunately none of us got hit by a flying roll. They give you tons of food and then come around with fried okra, fried potatoes and onions, macaroni and tomatoes, and more. All of this while the rolls keep coming. Yum. (If you ever get to go, order the roast beef. It is to die for!!)

Christmas 2008

I know it has been a while since I posted, but yes, we are alive and doing well! We have been back home since New Year's Day and are getting back into a routine. So I know this is late, but here is a recap of our holidays...
