William's first kiss

We have the cutest girl in our neighborhood that is William's age and they enjoy playing together. The other day while they were playing together they were playing tag, with all of their older brothers and sisters, and they happened to be in jail at the same time. I am not sure who instigated it, but according to William she kissed him first on the cheek, and then he kissed her on the check. I found this out only after her mom told me the story and said that her girl told her that William had kissed her first. When I asked William about it, he insists that she was the one that kissed him first, but the whole time he was telling me the story he couldn't hide the big grin on his face.

William

The other day we were eating quesadillas for lunch and William said, "Mom, you are not very good at making paper airplanes, but you are good, good, good at making quesadillas."
It made me laugh... and then I thought, "I am not that bad at making paper airplanes, am I?"

Kids are so good at giving compliments.

The past few weeks

Lehi round-up days were the last weekend in June, and our ward was in charge of a float, so the primary children were able to walk in the Parade. Do you recognize Horton the Elephant? We had fun all walking in the parade together.

For the 4th of July Jake's family had a family reunion camping in Southern Utah. It sounded like it was a ton of fun, but we were not able to go. So we let the kids have a little camp out in their room.
We did have a fun 4th relaxing at home, doing yard work, having BBQs, eating good food, and making cookies.

Jake got really into the cookie making with his sugar cookie American Flag.

We have had a fun, but low key summer so far. I was very ambitious at the beginning of the summer and had some fun things planned. However, now that it is hot, and I am 8 months pregnant, big and tired, we end up just staying home. But we do have fun eating pop-cycles, running through sprinklers, playing lots of games, and playing with friends. We are especially excited and ready for our little sister to come and join our family next month.
