Opryland Hotel Lads to Leaders Convention

Andrew's Photography Entry

Andrew on Stage

Our Lads to Leaders Convention was so much fun this year!  Andrew participated in two events: Song Leading and Photography.  For Song Leading, he has been practicing "Thank Lord" and for Art Says It, he decided to take a picture. Andrew did a wonderful job on both of his events.  He spoke slowly and announced his song very well.  He also lead his song while his little arm was just a movin. This year we were able to go to the indoor pool 3 times.  The kids a blast!  We also enjoyed some delicious ice cream and went on the boat ride in the Delta.  This time last year the Opryland Hotel was flooded.  It is amazing how they were able to get the hotel updated and back to working order for the 9,500 people at the convention this year.  Andrew is already thinking about adding more events to his list next year and Piper is ready to sing "Fuzzy Caterpillar" for her song next year.

Family Visit

Mindy, Haley and Yia-Yia came for a visit:)  It's their Spring Break so they came up to see us!  As you can see they had a great time.  Andrew still had school so Piper and Haley went to the zoo on Monday.  Tuesday was Piper's day for school and they allowed Haley to stay with Piper and enjoy an Easter Party.  The girls enjoyed an easter egg hunt and some sweet snacks.  We had some crazy weather on Wednesday and Andrew's school did not have power so they all had an easter egg hunt inside.  It was a great visit and we enjoyed having them.

100 Book Club

Ms. Brenda's  class has a 100 Book Club and Andrew read 100 books from Spring Break to the middle of April:)  He has read books like short and long vowel readers, his library books and also books from our Library.  Some of his favorite books to read was There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves, WALL E and any Dr. Suess' books.  This picture is the medal he recieved for reading 100 books!  He is now reading Charolett's Web.
