I have been horrible at updating, but a lot has happened this summer. Emmy turned 3!! I can hardly believe my second to last baby is officially a crazy toddler. Still haven't potty trained her, but I am working up the courage for August! James Micheal got to go to an awesome summer lego robotics camp for four days at the middle school. He absolutely loved it! Evan and Sadie have both had swim lessons and are currently finishing their second set of lessons. I finished my first year of school this July, and am looking forward to the break. I got straight A's this semester, which I am pretty happy about. James job has been going well and he seems to love the work he is doing in Software Development. Evan is getting extra OT in the summer and will be repeating kindergarten this year, hoping that it is a good choice for him and he does better this time. He also had is annual MRI and his tumor is stable and shows no signs of growth so far. Fourth of July was spent at home, we took the kids to the aquatic center and watched the Fireworks in Downtown Spokane, I would say the kids have had a great time so far. Hyrum has been doing well. His weight gain has not been where it should be so he has been put on a crazy high fat diet. He has a couple of words, "Mamma and Daddda." He isn't crawling yet or sitting on his own for long, but he does seem stronger. He gets his last expansion surgery on Sept. 2nd, and then one last major dermal fat graft before December, and then he will get his prosthesis. Makayla is in Activity Day Girls and loved the all day camp they had. I love seeing her flourish in social settings, everyone was saying goodbye to her by the end of the evening! We are busy this year but all very happy, the kids have had many sleep overs at Grandma Macs, and are looking forward to the Divis family reunion this next week. I will post as many pictures as I can, they are all a modpodge of our activities...

Hyrum's First Birthday
I have been hesitant to write this post, mostly because, I want to believe my baby is still a baby. But Mr. Hyrum Mack Divis turned 1 on April 18th, 2015. He has been nothing but a light and a bond to our family. I remember when I went into labor how much fear controlled my spirit and my heart at that time in my life. I was terrified... afraid and felt nothing but terror for the first year of his life. I won't say it has been smooth sailing or that things have gone amazingly well, but they have been blessed. I don't know how many times in the last year the Lord has shown us miracles through Hyrum.
One time in particular came to mind this last year. Hyrum had about a three month period after his first hydrogel surgery that was full of sicknesses and bad recoveries. We decided as a family that a fast for Hyrum was in order so that he could not only be well but thrive again before his second surgery. His development has always been delayed but since he took ill he just hadn't made any gains and actually started losing some of his gained skills. That Sunday we fasted. This is the first year James Micheal and Makayla have both been part of a real fast for our family.
James Micheal fasted longer than all of us for Hyrum, he did a full 24 hour fast for him. When midday approached and the hunger set in for James Micheal, he started to complain about his tummy. I said, " Well, what's more important to you right now, food or Hyrum?" He looked at me and I could tell he had a testimony building moment. He said, " I love food mom, but I love Hyrum more." I started to cry when I heard him say that. He really got it. It took his deep love of Hyrum to see the importance and purpose of fasting. Hyrum became his lively happy self not more than a day after the fast and has been recovering much better ever since. He helped build my testimony too. I have feeling he has a lot more lessons to teach us.
All I can say is that we love you Hyrum. The Lord put you into our lives to complete us. You are our greatest teacher, cuddliest and most loved baby in our family. You have changed me as a mother and have given me more purpose for my life. We don't feel worthy to be your parents but we will sure try. Love ya Hyro!!!

Makayla's 8th Birthday and Baptism.
Well, our special little girl got baptized yesterday. I am so proud of our ray of sunshine and her choices. This was an especially special baptism for James and I, as we were not sure if Kay would be in the right place mentally to be baptized when she turned 8. Throughout this last year she has shown us that she does understand and was ready to be baptized. She just proved that even more when she came out of the water and I was helping her get ready for her confirmation. She leaned over to me and said, "Mom, I feel so clean, I want to make good choices all the time." The Lord really showed me how much Kay comprehends the gospel at such a young age. I am so proud of our Kay, you are such a wonderful daughter of God and I am grateful to call you my daughter. We may butt heads on a DAILY basis, but I know that we are good for each other. You teach me everyday to be more like the Savior. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Random Pictures of Hyrum
As you can tell, we are a bit obsessed with Mr. Hyrum pants. This also is a good journal of Hyrum's surgeries and eye process' in the last 11 months.:)

Evan's 6th Birthday!
Evan turned 6 on January 21st, 2015. I can't believe he is six and in kindergarten! What happened to my little boy. I love you so much Evan. Your sweet, shy, and gentle spirit is the glue in our family. I love how much you play with your siblings and always have a cuddle on hand. I know your physical limitations have been frustrating for you, especially this year in school, but I am so proud of how hard you work and your determination. I love you so my Ev-bot, our family isn't the same without your raised eyebrows and beaming smile.

Christmas 2014
We had a great Christmas, even though Hyrum and I had the flu. It was a nice and quiet holiday, spent just with my family, which I loved. These next few years will be so precious while the kids are still all young. It will be done too soon!

Halloween 2014
Halloween was a lot of fun this year and the kids sure loved trick-or-treating. Makayla and Hyrum and I only went out for a little while and then stayed home eating candy and watching movies. It was a great holiday for the kiddos! Sadie also got to go with her preschool group to the farm to pick out pumpkins in October and we carved pumpkins as a family of course! Enjoy the pictures.

James Micheal's 9th Birthday
James turned nine on September 12, 2014. He was able to go to the fair with two of his good friends from school, Grant and Lucas. He got a new bike and some cool new "Star Wars" legos. I couldn't find any pictures of him at the fair, needless to say he had a giggle fest the whole time. The pictures I could find close to his birthday were him with Hyrum. Ever since Hyrum was born James Micheal and him have been inseparable.
One of the things I love about James Micheal is how his mind works. He is very analytical and it's so much fun to see how he creates and processes information. His greatest loves at the moment are science and math. He is a wonderful helper and is very loving to his siblings. I love you to the moon and back my boy!
