Elder Scheer...

Words cannot express my love and appreciation for Elder Scheer....he was such a blessing in our home!  His testimony is apparent in ALL that he does.  The first Sunday that Kaiden blessed the sacrament, Elder Scheer was right beside him.  I will FOREVER be grateful for the spirit that he brought into my home.  We are better for having known him, and cannot WAIT to have him return sometime!!!

ummmmmmmmmm...........

So, we have the missionaries over for dinner a few weeks ago.  In the middle of our discussion, the phone rings.  James takes it downstairs to answer it.  A little while later, he comes up and says, "we need to go to the docks."  I ask why, and he explains that the phone call was from one of our students, and the student just told him that he HAD to grab the EVERYONE and head down to the docks.  James said (in TOTAL joking mode), "they probably brought in a shark or something..."

......so, yeah, not sure I'm so happy about the kids swimming by the docks anymore!!!

As a side note...this salmon shark was found dead by a couple of students who were hunting ducks in the flats.  The theory (due to the red belly) is that the shark had an encounter with a whale, and beached itself at the flats during high tide...or something like that.  The students thought the fin was a strange bird, until they got closer and realized what it was.  They tied the dead shark to the boat and brought it to the docks to show the rest of the community!
