Baby E's are on their way!

My college roomie, Erin and her hubby Eric, are having twins this fall! A girl and a boy...I can't wait to meet these two babies! I can just hear Jayton, "mom, can I go to the twin's house and play?" We gave Erin a baby shower a couple of weeks ago and she got alot of goodies.
Every raider baby needs a Tech bib!

Kimmy, Erin and Mandi...Prosper BFF

Love this girl! We met in college at Tech and it just so happened that she grew up in Prosper...the same town my parents moved to when I was at Tech. Small world! And her maiden name is Carrington...weird!

Gorgeous at 5 months!

Love you E,
K

Dad's baby voice

new mobile...don't get dizzy

First try...

at adding videos from my flip to my blog.

Ignore my laugh...this was Jay's first roadtrip...

So, if it works, then expect more videos. You won't hurt my feelings if you don't play them. This is for mimi while she is away...she can see her babycakes!

While the boy is asleep...

I thought I would do a photo update. Mimi and Grandad are out of town for a couple of weeks (we miss you), so I wanted to start off with a pic of them.

Now, here is Aunt Chris burping our boy...

We had a playdate with Maren and baby Kelly last week. We all took turns holding our fussy babies and trying to talk over them. One day we'll get it down. I had a discussion with Jay about not whispering about others...it's just not nice.

and the meltdown begins...

Look who is a big boy baby and sleeping in his own crib...sad.happy.sad!

Hubby J and I went to Mercy wine bar to celebrate our anniversary. They seated us in our own private area (it was great people watching). We tried different types of wine and had some excellent food. Thank you Nonnie for babysitting pretty much all weekend. We were also able to attend the Josyln corn roast for Brian's birthday...those pics soon to come.

Last week I joined the girls to see Sex in the City at Gold Class Cinema in Allen. If you live around here, you must try it out. It is expensive, but a must do for a special girls night or date night.

One last pic of my little boy who is now 2 1/2 months old...It's like Christmas every morning when I go to get him in his crib. I unwrap his swaddle and he does his strateching routine and then smiles at me on the changing table. A great way to start the day...even if it is at 6AM sometimes.

I saw this CUTE, tall, shy guy....

one night out with my girls in August 2003. I decided that I would approach him with a smooth line, "you don't talk much" and the rest is history.
We instantly became glued to eachother talking on the phone for endless hours, hanging out til 2AM (my first year of teaching..yikes), taking roadtrips, going to concerts, camping, dancing, and making so many memories.

Then in December 2005, he asked me to marry him on a hilltop in the hill country….and I embarrassed this cute, tall, shy guy by telling everyone we saw on our hike down from this hilltop, that we just got engaged.

On June 10, 2006, I married my cute, tall, shy guy.

J - thank you for being mine. You are so wonderful and patitent with me. You take care of me and now our family, and I knew you would be an amazing daddy. I am so lucky to have you as my hubby and best friend. Happy 4th anniversary!!

Big kiss,
K

This and That

Looks who is smiling more...and squealing too! One of these days I'll catch a big smile...I'm just not fast enough yet.

He always falls asleep when I dry my hair...This is J's favorite onesie..his little hunter!

We've been having fun with Aunt Ab!

I've been trying to get back into running...thanks to Marisa and for J for watching Jayton while I'm our sweating my tush off...or trying to. No, we didn't plan to wear the same gear...dorks think alike ; )

I'll have to post more pics in another post...it's only letting me do a few right now.

*I have to give a BIG shout out to our parents! Mine and J's anniversary is this Thursday and Audrey (J's mom) is going to stay with Jayton overnight while we have a date night out. My dad is giving us hotel points so we can have a nice dinner out and then sleep late in a hotel in Dallas next weekend!!! Is it bad I'm already leaving my little boy....Nah. He'll be with his Nonnie who ADORES him! We're going to try out a nice restaurant called Mercy for dinner and wine. I can't wait!!!

High Five,
Kel

Shots anyone??

Two months shots today....I heard a new kind of scream from little man today and it made my eyes water. Poor guy. Here is the email with appt info I sent out to family.

Howdy!
Jayton will be two months on Saturday and we had his two month appt today. He now weighs 11lbs 15.5 oz and is around 23 ¾ inches long. We are going to try a different medicine for his acid reflux, but he is still nursing great and seems overall like a HAPPY baby! He is sleeping pretty much through the night from about 9:30-5ish and then a again for another couple of hours….I know, we’re lucky! I hope I didn’t just jinx myself. We visit the ENT on Monday for a checkup on his laryngomalacia (swollen cartridge in his throat) although we know that it will take several months for Jay to outgrow. He is still a noisy breather, but we’re used to it. Our pediatrician also referred us to an ophthalmologist for what appears to be a slight lazy eye. He said if anything, they would put a patch over one eye to strengthen the other. I LOVE pirates, so this will be okay. Sorry, a little humor is needed when you worry like me. That appointment is on the 17th, so we’ll keep you updated.
Other news, Jayton is smiling a lot more now and making all sorts of sounds…including loud belches and toots. Now I have three loud boys in the house! He is holding his head up well and loves tummy time. He makes being a mommy easy and I am so thankful for my little dude.
Enough of my rambling! I’ll send some more pics this weekend…beware.

Big hugs and kisses,
Kel and James
