Happy Birthday Dada!!

Happy birthday to the most wonderful husband and the best father that a girl could ask for!! Today we have had a great day celebrating John's birthday. We started the celebration by opening presents and then we had brunch with John's mom and step-dad at a fun cafe. It was yummy! We took a nap (when Coop went down for his nap) and it was delightful. We both have always loved naps but never get them anymore! When Coop woke up we went to the park since the weather in STL was amazing today and we had to be outside. Cooper mostly loves to watch all of the other kids playing but we did swing, play in the pirate's ship and slide down the slides! We ended the day with a family dinner and a chocolate chip ice cream cookie treat! It was a great day! Happy Birthday John/Dada! We love you more than you know!

Hippity Hop...Easter came to town

As much as his Dad doesn't want to admit it... Cooper looked so adorable in his outfit from his Aunt Tara on Easter. (Dad thinks it is too girly!) We spent the holiday in Rolla since we didn't make the trip to MS this Easter. We had a hunt with Grandpa (John's dad) on Sunday before church. Cooper loved chasing the eggs with Grandpa in his basement and walking with his new giraffe toy. The Easter Bunny visited and left a basket of goodies but Cooper didn't seem to notice. He did like the basketball goal that was in his basket though. After church with Grandpa, we went to Bummy (John's mom) and Tim's house for a yummy lunch and a very competitive egg hunt. The Bunny visited there too and Cooper was very excited. After dying an egg with Bummy and then dropping it on the floor, the hunt began. Cooper won!!! We had a great Easter and while celebrating this glorious holiday with family... we also celebrated my birthday. Easter was way more fun then becoming one year older!!

Checking out his basket at Grandpa's...
And a basket at Bummy's!
The competitive hunt. Tim is ready!
All the eggs Cooper found!! Wow.
Happy Easter to all and Happy Birthday to me!

A few things about Cooper at 11 months:
  • He is walking, but only when holding onto a toy or piece of furniture
  • all day long he wants to climb the stairs, all day long
  • wants every toy that plays music on all at the same time and does so
  • gives open mouth kisses
  • dances/bounces to any music
  • loves taking baths
  • can drink from a real straw (I was shocked)
  • hates sitting still
  • loves yogurt melts more than puffs now
  • loves animal crackers more than yogurt melts
  • when he gets really excited while crawling, he puts his head down like a bull and goes fast
  • is ALL boy!

Start Spreading the News

Start spreading the news... Cooper loves NYC! He took his first plane ride to visit Aunt Suzy and Uncle Scott in NYC (really Brooklyn - he never made it to the city, but he doesn't know that) !! He was such a big boy on the plane and the whole time we were there. We did so many fun things. While there we visited a few playgrounds, went to the NY Transit Museum, took Cooper's first ride in a cab and on the subway. He saw so many new faces and heard so many new sounds. The adults even had a fun night out to see West Side Story on Broadway! The best part of our trip was Cooper's New York Debut Party that Aunt Suzy threw so that all of her friends could meet Cooper. He was the star of the show and he sure did LOVE it. He made a lot of new friends and tasted yummy cupcakes for the first time. I'm sure Cooper is going to love visiting his Aunt and Uncle in the future... with or without us!
