Murphy Family - Joe, Kariann, Brynlee, Brooklyn, and Baby Boy

Life is good! It is busy, but I am really enjoying the girls lately! They are hilarious! They keep me going, keep me on my toes, and keep me laughing! I sure love them! As of lately this is what is new around here!!

*Counting down until the baby comes. 4 1/2 weeks to be exact! It has been decided that he will officially be Landon Jonas Murphy. Brynlee calls him Landon and we can't change that now! :) I do love the name though and so does Joe so we are excited!!

*Brynlee moved from a toddler bed to a twin bed and is SUPER excited to share a room with Brooklyn. This change is coming any-day now...I just really enjoy my sleep, so I am scared to put the two together. But their room is re-painted/re-decorated to accommodate both and she is super proud of her new bed!

*Brynlee not only started preschool 2 days a week, but she is doing a dance class with her best friend Josi. She LOVES it! She loves having Josi in her class and always comes home and practices everything she does. Brooklyn of course runs around with her and it is hilarious to see her try to do what Brynlee does.

*Brooklyn is OFFICIALLY walking! She is SOOOO funny and so cute to watch. She is super bow legged and looks like she just got off a horse she has just been riding hours on end. She is getting pretty steady and almost never crawls anymore.

*Because Brooklyn is now walking her and Brynlee are double trouble!! What one doesn't think of the other does. I find them in all sorts of trouble. They play so good together (for the most part) and Brynlee gets really mad when Brooklyn loses interest and comes crying to me becuase Brookey won't play with her. lol I have found them in the toilet water, toilet paper soggy wads all over the bathroom, coloring with pencils on the kitchen tile, ripping apart the couch cushion, throwing pine cone decorations at each other, gosh you name it they are trouble together!

*Morning snuggles are the BEST! It's pretty much my most favorite time of the day other than bedtime. lol We snuggle up, watch a cartoon or 2 and they actually sit and snuggle and love their momma! Everyone is generally pretty happy in the morning and it is a great time of the day! I have really been enjoying it!

*Brooklyn's little personality is really coming out. She is such a sweetie! She is so content most of the time and just excited to be a part of anything that is going on. She is not afraid of big kids and gets mad becuase she wants to be doing what they are doing. The other day she went up to a random 10 year old and tried to take her ipod touch! I was laughing so hard, the girl didn't even know what hit her. This baby just tried to steel her electronic!! She loves to snuggle and give loves and she is such a cheese ball when it comes to her smiles and laughs. She brightens my day and makes me laugh constantly. She yells at the dog, follows Bryn around everywhere, loves watching cartoons with her sis, loves to be independent, and blows me kisses every time she goes down to sleep. I just can't get enough of her squish!! When she sees me after I've been gone working she runs to me and yells "MA-MA! MA-MA! MAMMA!!!!" I love it!

Well that is all I can think of for now....I'm sure there is much more that I am forgetting that I wanted to write but it is late and I am tired and need to go to bed.

Well we did it!! We both survived the first 3 years of life together!! There were times I thought I might be digging your grave in the backyard....but we did it! Brynlee I am so proud to be your mom and so proud of what a big girl you have become! Today you went to preschool with so much excitement!! You told me I could leave and here I am at home without you crying becuase I am so happy to be your mom and so happy you are happy! Here's to growing up and getting to see you become who you will be....Sometimes we may fight, sometimes I might be "grumpy," but at the end of the day there is absolutely nothing I wouldn't do for you!! I love you with all my heart!!

Lately this is pretty much what I look like and feel like!! I actually think I am beginning to understand the term "Hot as Hell!!" I have 8 more horrible weeks of pregnancy to go...yes I count down every single day! Every morning I wake up and am still pregnant I want to cry! These are the things I currently miss:

Seeing my feet
Bending over and being able to breath
Clothes fitting
Not having to sleep with 5 pillows to be comfortable
Not having to wear mens deodorant becuase I sweat so much
Not having to change at least once a day because again it is so bloody hot!
I miss climbing stairs and not having to stop halfway to catch my breath
Not wanting to cry every time one of my kids needs something the minute I sit down, becuase that means I have to haul my fat butt back up off the couch!
Not having a huge belly hit my clients shoulders while doing their hair
Having a normal bladder and not peeing my pants every sneeze, cough, kick in the bladder, bending over, you name it, it happens!
Not having people stare at me everywhere I go
Sitting with my legs crossed, or my knees together
I miss not feeling like a head is going to pop out between my legs at any moment
Last but not least I MISS NOT BEING SO FREAKING HOT ALL THE TIME!!!

I pretty much don't bother asking if it's hot or if it's just me, becuase I already know the answer!! Although the past couple of weeks at work the A/C keeps freezing up and not working. Well my salon is upstairs, and when this happens not only does it get hot, but it gets hot FAST!! Then you have to continue to blow dry hair, etc....and it makes for a pretty horrible situation! Especially for my clients!! Here is the scene....me hotter than hell, sweating like crazy, beads on my forehead, hair sticking to my face, sweat rolling down my face/neck not to mention other unseen places!!! Does this make for a happy pregnant lady?? Um NO!!!! My poor clients...all I can say to those who have experienced this fabulous display from me is I AM SOOOO SORRY!! Because of the whining and complaining from yours truly, we are getting our OWN A/C unit so this will not happen anymore! THANK GOODNESS!!!!!

I love summer with my whole heart and soul....but this year it really cannot leave fast enough! I am tired of being in my own little hell......

Okay, I have vented, now I feel better! Good thing babies are so worth all this horribleness!!


Awwww, look how cute they are!! Okay they really are worth it!! How i love them....baby #3, please make your entrance early but healthy early and end this torture for me. :)

Joe reminded me I better write this down so we don't forget how funny little miss Brynlee is!!  The other night I overhead the following conversation between her and Joe.

It's bedtime and Joe tucked Brynlee into bed. He approached the door, turned off the light and said: "Goodnight Brynlee, I love you, sleep good!!"

Brynlee in the most sassy voice ever, "YOU sleep good cracker box!!"

Both of us BURST out laughing, Brynlee laid in her bed giggling her head off!! Seriously where does she come up with this stuff?? Joe is officially now known as "Cracker Box" and Brynlee thinks it is the most funny thing ever to call him that! "Welcome home Cracker Box"... "When does Cracker Box get home from work??".....It's pretty hilarious!! And without fail now...every night Joe puts her to bed it is the same "YOU sleep good Cracker Box."

It's one in the morning. Joe and I are SOUND asleep...Brynlee comes in, super bad fever, shaking, and climbs into our bed with her cup. She chugs what is left and asks for more. I go downstairs to get her more. Then I hear all this commotion!! Lights being flipped on and bath water running! What the heck just happened....I run up the stairs to find Brynlee sitting in the tub finishing throwing up and Joe frantically washing his face off in the water as fast as he can dry heaving at the same time. OH MY GOSH what just happened??? I begin to clean Brynlee up and Joe proceeds to tell me that out of a dead sleep he woke up to her throwing up on his face!!!! HAHAHAHA OH MY HECK!! I felt SO bad for both of them, but couldn't help but laugh! He is such a good dad, he took it like a champ and started cleaning up while I helped Bryn. We had to strip down our bed, he had to get in the shower, and finally by 2 I think we were all back to bed...this time with bowel close by lots of towels just in case! What a horribly funny situation to remember....oh the joys of parenthood!

Yesterday is one to record. Nothing really super exciting...just a series of events that made me "THAT" mom!! Most mornings I feel pretty good when I wake up...this particular morning I felt like my head had been hit with a sludge hammer and if I really had to open my eyes I was going to have to glue them open... Being the great mom that I am I gated the kids in the living room, turned on the cartoons, grabbed a pillow and baby blanket and laid on the floor. Brooklyn thinks it's a fun game and crawls all over me but I was SO tired I didn't even care...for 45 minutes I laid there baby crawling all over me, in and out of sleep. Then it's time to actually be Mom....breakfast, cleaning, baths, etc....Brooklyn is teething and life is pretty miserable this week so that makes matters so much better! I have really had a hard time being motivated to do anything with this pregnancy...all I want to do it sit on my butt and eat! I am done! I am done with the laundry, the dishes, the cleaning, the toys, the yard, the finances, everything!! I also SERIOUSLY hate running errands with 2 kids. It is so exhausting for me. With that being said I had to exchange clothes for the girls for my brothers wedding which is Saturday. Of course where else but the Mall...now that I have kids I really hate the mall!! I turn into "THAT" mom!!! Brynlee runs around every store not listening to a word I say....Brooklyn tries to get out of the stroller freaking out becuase she wants to run around/crawl around with her sister. I TRY to look for something that will work....5 kids stores later NOTHING!!! That's it, we're going home I am DONE!!! Since we are in the area I need a few supplies at the Beauty Supply. My most HATED store to EVER take my kids into!! Again, Bryn running around this time with a shopping cart. Running into displays, knocking stuff over left and right. If I try to "help" her with the cart and HUGE tantrum starts.... Me, carrying my 24LB baby becuase the stupid cart has no place to put your kid, and has a a stupid sign that says "Please do not place child in cart," and also carrying 25 EXTRA pounds of pregnancy weight....sweating profusely, again TRYING to remember everything but SO distracted!! Brooklyn then starts chewing on my NASTY, germ infested, dirty, disgusting keys just to keep her quiet long enough to buy what I need. Holy crap, are you kidding me, I let her chew on the keys???? On the way home I call my mom to tell her my failures at the mall and beg for her help in finding what I need for the wedding. While on the phone I drive into a huge thunderstorm and it begins to POUR! Child #1 is in the back "eating" fishy crackers aka getting them ALL over the back, and child #2 has taken her sippy cup and slowly dumped all the water out on herself, fish crackers she was eating are now mush all over her, car seat, and car. Then out of NOWHERE a poor little bird flies RIGHT INTO MY WINDSHIELD!!!! I FREAK out, it startles me so bad of course I pee my pants a little...because that what happens at LEAST once a day when I sneeze, cough, crouch down, or apparently get startled!! I try not to swear, get off the phone as fast as I can, and just laugh all the way home...Rush to get the kids cleaned up, get the baby to bed for a nap, and shovel food down just in time for Joe to get home and me to run to a R.S. activity I needed to help set up for. No dinner was made, the house was still a disaster from the morning, and poor Joe had to deal with what I so willingly ran out the door to leave for him! :) Oh I did also change...don't worry, I didn't wear my pee pants to the activity!! Joe asked how my day was as I rushed out....and I simply replied, I was "THAT" mom!!

 The middle part of June we had our annual Murphy Family Vacation. We went up to Eden and stayed in a house for a few days with the fam. It was nice to get away for a few days and have a different change of scenery. We got to see Andy which was good to see him since it is much more rare now. Brooklyn was even excited to see him and crawled right too him! Brynlee is still timid around Andy...he always made her cry as a baby. But the chubby one doesn't seem to have the same feelings. She loves her Uncle Panda! Brynlee and her cousin Aaron who are a year apart and two peas in a pod! They are trouble together but they have SO much fun!! She loves playing with him and talks about playing with him all the time. It was really nice becuase they entertained each other most of the time. I'm so glad she has a cousin to play with when we are with the Murphy fam, it makes it so much more fun!! The house had an indoor pool which was more than a little cold when we first arrived. Brynlee attempted to get in once and refused to go in again. Veena and I took matters into our own hands and found the pool heater and turned the temperature up to the max!! lol The next day after is had finally warmed up 20 degrees the kids and adults had much more fun swimming in the pool! It was Brooklyn's first time in the pool and we think she liked it. She wouldn't crack a smile...she was just taking it all in. She loved splashing her Aunt Emily though! Em you're such a good sport!! :) We really didn't do a whole lot of anything...we ate good food. TONS of junk! We hung out, watched movies, everyone played on their Ipads, the kids played, we swam, sat in the hot tub, and enjoyed the time together. Veena and Emily talked us into to letting Brynlee go to the movies with them. Em was brave enough to be the one to take her to the first movie in the movie theaters....I know that sounds like we are depriving parents or something...but we just haven't attempted it becuase she won't even sit through a movie at home. But she did really well!! She was excited to go with her cousins and she still talks about the Panda and the Coo Coo bird. lol All in all we had a good time and I really was there...I just avoid pictures being pregnant, especially since all our pictures last year I was pregnant in....next year I will NOT be pregnant!!! ;)
