Halloween and Preschool

For Halloween we all dressed up as Pirates. It was easy and very comfy costumes.

The kids carved pumpkins at Aunt Julie's house. Really Daddy carved pumpkins, but everyone still had fun!

We went to our Tri-Ward Trunk or Treat and had a fun time! Mason is now at an age that is so fun. He couldn't wait to go Trick or Treating. He now understands what's going on!

Mason started "Preschool" at the Rec. Center. He loves it! He has lots of energy, so it did take him a little of time to clam down, but now that we have been doing this for some time he is doing better.

Mason counts down every day until he has school. He loves learning and making messes. It gives me hope for Kindergarten next year. WAIT, when did this kid become old enough for school?

She's One! Pictures

I can't begin to thank my older sister, Taryn, enough for taking these amazing pictures of Miss Zoe!

Peek-A-Boo!

I am so grateful that this little girl picked me to be her Mommy! Love you Zoe Elizabeth!

Zoe's 1st Birthday

For Zoe's Birthday we had family come over to celebrate with us. This little girl got very spoil, and got some VERY cute clothes!

She was not into eating her cake as much as I thought she would be. She didn't really want anything to do with it.

I am in trouble when this girl is older! Those eyes! She, of course, hated the present that Jesse and I got her at first but now she loves it.

I remember being really excited when Mason turned one but the night before Zoe's birthday, I cried. I have had a hard time letting her grow up and get older. We just came home from the hospital and gave her, her first bath! She isn't my "baby" anymore, but at the same time I am terrified excited to see this girl grow up and what she will accomplish.

One year!

I really don't and can't believe that a year has passed since Miss Zoe Elizabeth has come into our lives. I actually am having a very hard time with it. It's very silly, I mean we all grow up, that's life. I can't tell you why I get tears in my eyes whenever I think of my little girl being one. It really does something to me. BUT I couldn't be more blessed to have this amazon woman in my life. She screams, dances, drives her brother crazy, gets into EVERYTHING, and is one happy girl! I have so many hopes and dreams for her. It freaks me out every time I think of her growing up and being older, more like I really hope she isn't too much like me.  I hope she knows I will and am always here for her and that she can come to me for anything. I love her with my all and though it makes me sad to see her getting older, I can't wait to see what she will accomplish.

Here are Zoe Elizabeth's one year stats:
Height: 30 1/2 ins.  90-95%
Weight: 23.7 lbs  90-95%
Head: 44 1/2 ins.  25-50%

Easter

This year for Easter we celebrated with Jesse's family on Saturday and with my family on Sunday.
The Russells dye eggs every year. Mason gets better at it every year but he still gets a little too excited when we first get started.

After the eggs were dry, Mason wanted to go for an egg hunt! He did really well and found a lot of the eggs all by himself. He also cracked pretty much all the eggs as he was throwing them in his bag.

On Sunday we got up, went to church, and then did pictures when we got home. Church is at 9:00 AM, so pictures were after. I love that Jesse doesn't really care what clothes I pick out for the kids to wear. So  purple it was! I fell in love with Zoe's dress as soon as I found it and Mason's shirt just went!

Sunday night we spent with my family and had a very yummy dinner and another Easter egg hunt. They kids had fun looking for "their" eggs, and the older boys had just as much fun hiding the kids eggs.

I am so grateful for my family. I am so grateful for my Savior who suffered and died for me. I am so grateful for the Gospel and that I have it in my life. I can't wait for the day that I get to be with my family forever. I know that my Redeemer live and loves me, even when I don't love me. I truly am so blessed!

Stats

How is this little girl almost 8 months old
already? (I took this picture when she was 6 months) I don't even know where time has gone. It is a little depressing to me that she is getting big so fast! I took both kids to the doctor for their well check ups back in March. (I know I am a blog slacker) Here are Zoe's 6 month stats:

Height: 26 1/2 ins - 75-90%
Weight: 17.6 lbs - 75-90%
Head: 41 cm - 10-25%

I hate to say that I laughed out loud when I saw how small her head was but it doesn't look that small and her Doctor is not concerned at all. Still I can't help but laugh a little!
Zoe is army crawling all over the place and getting pretty good and sitting up on her own. She also will get on her hands and feet all the time. It looks like she is just going to stand up. I'm so not ready for her to be crawling let alone walking!

It makes my heart melt every time I see these two playing together. They really do love each other and make each other laugh ALL the time!

First off this face! I told him to look at me and smile. Oh 4 year olds! Anyways, Mason also had his 4 years old well check up, so here are his stats.

Height: 42 1/2 ins - 90-95%
Weight: 39 1/2 lbs - 75-90%

I love these kids so much and love watching them grow, even if it is a little too fast for me!

Birthday Boy!

I have no idea how 4 years have past but Mason turned 4 in March! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this kid. He has changed everything for the better. He is truly a gift from our Heavenly Father and I can't thank him enough. Being a Mother is one of the most amazing and one of the hardest callings I have received but I wouldn't changed any of it for anything.

Any-who, this year for Mason's birthday we did a Star Wars party! Mason is pretty obsessed with Star Wars and Legos, so we went with Star Wars. When all the padawans arrived they each received a Light Saber, which my awesome husband made out of pool noodles, and enter the Jedi Academy. We had a couple of games or tests that each padawan had to pass before becoming a full Jedi Master.

We had the padawans go through a physical test and crawl through a tunnel, then they had a Light Saber test where they had to bounce a balloon off their Sabers. That was fun and I think the kids liked that one. Then they had to listen and use the Force by playing "Jedi Says." I think all the kids had fun with the games and of course hitting each other with the Light Sabers.

In the middle of all the crazy we did feed everyone as well. Jesse came up with Star Wars names for all the food that we had. An example is we had Yoda Soda with Hon Solo cups. It was pretty silly, and we enjoyed it.

Thank you SO much for everyone who helped out and came. It was so much fun and I know Mason loved having everyone there. Thank you Taryn for all your help and taking amazing pictures. Thank you Julie for keeping me on track and helping out with everything. Thank you Mom and Dad for letting us destroy your house and putting up with my craziness. We love you guys!
