Poor Iz is sicky :(

Isabelle had a cough and runny nose and Jennifer suggested we take her to the doctor because it was getting worse, so we did and the poor girl has to have breathing treatments.  It is not RSV (yet) which is really good news, but her oxygen levels were low and she may have some asthma... the doc said they can't diagnose it as asthma until she has a couple recurrences of it (which bummer because then insurance would cover the breathing machine!), so we will have to see on that and hopefully she doesn't.  In the meantime, we have to give her Albuterol through the nebulizer every 4-6 hours and then a steroid in between (we haven't done it yet, didn't really want to give it to her).  We go back to the doc on Thursday, so we are  hoping for improvements in her oxygen levels!
Here we go!
In the docs office, looking so intently at her toys!  I just love her hands, they look so cute holding onto Jacob's!
She started holding onto the nebulizer pretty soon after putting it up to her face, I think she knows it is helping her... these pics just melt me, such a big girl!  We did have to put the TV on in front of her to distract her from the machine (hence her eyes staring so intently ahead).
Thanks for helping me dad!
This is Isabelle the morning after her firsts breathing treatments, you can tell she doesn't feel well, those eyes and rosy nose and cheeks... my poor boogie!

*Disclaimer- I am backtracking to update our blog (I know, sorry I'm behind!) so Isabelle is all better now, just didn't want to worry anyone that wasn't aware of when she was sick... she is back to good health :)!

Taco Casserole Jacob and Leah Style!

I made taco casserole and put ground chicken on one side and ground Boca meat on the other and Jacob walked over and was like, 'I don't want any of that stuff on my side', so he put chips down the middle as a barrier... I thought it was pretty funny so I had to share... if you ever wondered how we eat dinner together, there you go!
Before
 After... delicious!
I love making taco casserole because you can put whatever you want in it (and Jacob and I can both eat it) and it's so easy!  We usually do chips on the bottom, blk beans, some veggie refried beans, the meat/"meat", I put green peppers on my side, salsa, chips and cheese, then bake in the oven until the cheese is melted and it looks done!

I also had to share these adorable little bloomers we got in the mail tonight from our good friends Jayme and Mark, they are so stinkin' cute and it was such a fun surprise to get them!  Thanks again friends, can't wait for Iz to wear them!!
Loves!

Aunt Ashley's Wedding Weekend!

We got to spend the Friday before the rehearsal together which was wonderful, Iz and I were in matching attire for the big game (no, we did not wear this to dinner/rehearsal)... I thought Jacob was going to have a come apart during the rehearsal since we were in a church and not at a bar watching the game!  Good thing they were ahead the whole time (sad ending to the whole story, I know)!
Kiss from Gigi!
The wedding party and fam hanging out, getting hair did and make up done.
Isabelle fit right in as one of the girls!  She was so chatty and wanted her voice to be heard, it was pretty funny!
Thanks Aunt Betsy for holding me and letting me take a little snooze on you!
Iz and babysitter gram, thanks again mom, you were a life saver!

Iz and mom in their dresses ready for the ceremony!  She did so good and was such a trooper... she did want her voice to be heard in the church during the ceremony, I think she liked how it echoed so she was making all sorts of noises, it made me smile sitting in the front row... she has found her voice :)!
I had a first myself this weekend and got to pump on the bus in the smallest bathroom ever!  The joys of being a mom ;).  We had a fun weekend filled with family and friends!  Congrats to Ashley and Byron!!

Shoes and head bands!

I put some little soft soles (first pair had to be Payless of course!) on Iz, 1) because I thought they were cute and 2) because they are already almost too small for her and I wanted her to wear them at least once!  Her first reaction (first pic) was so funny because it was like, what is on my feet?!
And then she just tried to get them off like she does her socks...
And then she was over them, on to bigger and better things mom!
Another first for Iz, the head band, she didn't really seem to mind it, but we don't think she's a head band kind of girl, I don't know why, maybe it's because Jacob and I aren't head band kind of parents ;).
I love this profile pic, she looks like she's a baby in Africa ready to carry a basket full of fruit on her head!  Makes me smile every time :)!

House Post!

We finally found a light for our dining room table (after searching forever!) and we love it, so had to share!
We also bought this really cute hand towel at Anthropologie (owl of course), so wanted to share it as well :).

Baby Yoga!

Isabelle has found her feet and loves them!  Anytime she is laying on her back or sitting up, her feet are the first things she goes for and it's the funniest thing (except when I'm trying to change her diaper and she won't let go of them, then she thinks it's funny).
She can pull both of her feets to her face and almost put them in her mouth... she's so bendy (name that movie!)!
Iz has also developed a major interest in the pooches, which is good, except for right after bath time when she is all clean ;)... Lucy still loves her and just wants to be by her every second... I will turn around from giving Isabelle a bath and Lucy will be sitting right in the middle of Iz's clean towel (makes me a little crazy)!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

We celebrated Jacob's last birthday before the big 3-0 on Sunday...
We had a full house of family for Jacob's birthday dinner and to watch the KU game, it was great... we made personal pan pizzas (with all the fixin's, we looked like a pizza shoppe) on the grill for everyone and they were delicious!  Yes, that is Jacob vacuuming the counter tops!
I got Jacob an ice cream cake from DQ and thought this one was perfect!  Just FYI if you ever get one, wear gloves to cut it!  My hands were dyed bright red and blue and then Emme thought it was fun to make all her fingers bright red (it stained!), it was a mess!
My mom and I took Isabelle to church that morning and of course, she spit up on her outfit right as we were leaving!  Her cute little overalls were from Auntie Am when she came to visit us for Turkey Day, they fit perfect now :)... those rosy cheeks!
The weather on Jacob's birthday was amazing so we took quite the walk with Iz and the dogs, it was her first time to ride like a big girl in the stroller and not in her car seat... she was pooped when we got back! She loves her little rabbit rattle that she got from Dana... also sporting her KU gear for game day :).
Happy Birthday Dad!  We love you!

Delicious Cake Cookies... aka "Jacob's Favorite Cookies"

So my mom made these cookies for us right after I had Isabelle and we all just fell in love with them, they are amazing!  I mean, unreal!  They kind of taste like a healthy donut, I say healthy because they aren't deep fried ;).  Jacob loves them so my mom and I made them for his birthday and they are super easy so I had to share the recipe...

Combine:
1 8 oz cream cheese (I use reduced fat Neufchatel)
1 stick of butter
1 egg
1 t vanilla
Add to 1 box of Butter Golden Cake mix

Mix about 1 1/2 C of powdered sugar and 1 T cinnamon or cinnamon sugar (this varies depending on how you want them to taste, so you can add more cinnamon if you want)
Roll the dough into balls and roll them into the powdered sugar mix
Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or longer depending on your oven, just watch them
Let them cool for about 10 mins and then we put the tops back into the powdered sugar and cinnamon mix to make them even tastier :)
It's kind of a fly by the seat of your pants recipe so let me know if you have any questions!
ENJOY!

Rice Cereal... Round two!

Our second experience went a little better...
Look at that determination in her face!
She was too cute with that tongue... something she has inherited from the Wilson side of the fam (thanks Papa ;) )!
 Looking for more...
Good thing she had some leftovers on her hands that she could eat.

I had to add these pics from before and after her nap because she looked so cute!
I love when she falls asleep on me, I could just stare at that face and hold her forever!
Such a happy chatty girl when she wakes up :)!
So cozy!
