Isabelle had a cough and runny nose and Jennifer suggested we take her to the doctor because it was getting worse, so we did and the poor girl has to have breathing treatments. It is not RSV (yet) which is really good news, but her oxygen levels were low and she may have some asthma... the doc said they can't diagnose it as asthma until she has a couple recurrences of it (which bummer because then insurance would cover the breathing machine!), so we will have to see on that and hopefully she doesn't. In the meantime, we have to give her Albuterol through the nebulizer every 4-6 hours and then a steroid in between (we haven't done it yet, didn't really want to give it to her). We go back to the doc on Thursday, so we are hoping for improvements in her oxygen levels!
Here we go!
In the docs office, looking so intently at her toys! I just love her hands, they look so cute holding onto Jacob's!
She started holding onto the nebulizer pretty soon after putting it up to her face, I think she knows it is helping her... these pics just melt me, such a big girl! We did have to put the TV on in front of her to distract her from the machine (hence her eyes staring so intently ahead).
Thanks for helping me dad!
This is Isabelle the morning after her firsts breathing treatments, you can tell she doesn't feel well, those eyes and rosy nose and cheeks... my poor boogie!
*Disclaimer- I am backtracking to update our blog (I know, sorry I'm behind!) so Isabelle is all better now, just didn't want to worry anyone that wasn't aware of when she was sick... she is back to good health :)!
