Fall fun

We all went on a wagon ride and the girls picked out some pumpkins.

The Blasers stopped By!

Jamie and her family came in the same day that Mom left.  How fun is that.  No time to even start feeling lonely & sorry for yourself.

I thought the girls would enjoy going to McCall's Pumpkin Patch for a fun fall activity. It was  a great place to visit and we got plumb tuckered out and had to leave before we even got everything done.

I sure do love my girls.

We sure did enjoy Grandma's visit

Dave says a sure way to tell if someone enjoys their visit is if they come back.  Was I ever happy to hear that my Mom bought a ticket so that she could come see us again.  We hope she enjoyed her visit as much as we enjoyed having her.

We took her to the Bio Park to see the gardens.
We also happened to see a road runner to show her.
We stopped in at the Owl Cafe to get milkshakes.  When Steve came to visit in Sept. he remembered this place including the jukebox sitting on the tables.  Go figure-it was more than 15 years ago. There are an awful lot of vacations since then he claims to have forgotten.
Of course we played pinochle and missed Grandpa. When ever we play we always recite his pinochle lines in all the appropriate places. That lucky Alan got 1000 aces.
Grandma came prepared with all of her fabrics so we could create up a storm while she was here.
We got her set up with a couple of quilts to work on this winter.
And she made me some cinnamon rolls.  Which I so appreciated.  We hope she is coming back next October too.  Love you Mom!

Alan's idea of a great time

Casting & Blasting
A trip up north gave Alan an opportunity to go fishing and hunting all in the same day.  I think this is his idea of Heaven.
 Fishing was good.
And, he bagged a couple of ducks.  He is  excited about this because he has been researching recipes.  He thinks that he has found a winner.
Let me know if you would like to stop in for dinner some time.

Downhill all the way

Dave rented some bikes for him and Alan so that they could go for a bike ride.

They started up here at the top of the mountain peak.

These are some of Dave's co-workers that they went with.

 What a steep, cold ride.

Dave was pretty brave and rode fast beating Alan down the mountain.  I was wondering if he could beat Kevin down the hill?
