Oh this poor neglected blog! The kiddo's are doing awesome but boy are they BUSY!!! I'm currently getting bids to gate the sides of our property in because they often go in the backyard to play, circle round the front and then start walking down the street by themselves. And this happens in literally about two minutes. Kylie is such a sweetie but goodness she can be STUBBORN! I've talked to her nicely, put them both in timeout, put their bikes/wiggle car in timeout, had Jared talk to her, get mad, the whole nine yards and she still will just wander clear down the street by herself with Kipton in tow (and I'm talking a block or more). Which often happens when I'm in the middle of trying to make dinner. I'm all about them having some independence but it's gotten ridiculous. I think I found myself yelling down the street half a dozen times today for them to come home, multiple timeouts just don't seem to work. Any idea's are appreciated.

Kylie loves preschool and tells me all about the infractions that are happening between the other kids and their teachers (usually so and so has been sent to the office for doing something naughty). Kylie has been sent to the office in the past but it's been awhile so I take that as a good sign :). They have been practicing lots of songs at school for their end of the year shin-dig in a couple weeks which we are excited to see.  Gymnastics is still a struggle. She loves going but every other week I'm pulling my hair out with her behavior there. I think she's a little bored with her teacher, has trouble listening and following directions, distracts the other children. I feel like I'm constantly on the verge of pull her out for a bit... but so far we are still plugging away at it.

Kipton is such a cutie. Seriously I could just eat him up. He loves his airplanes and helicopters. He is such a mama's boy. We love snuggling together and he usually ends up in our bed in the middle of the night. He is still progressing VERY slowly in the speech department. I had him evaluated a few months ago by EI. They do a scale of 1-30 on a whole wide range of skills- fine motor skills, gross motor skills, communications, expression etc. He scored great on everything except for communication. Anything under a 7 would mean he would qualify for EI. He scored a 9 in the communication section so he is right on the borderline but doesn't qualify at the moment. We weren't entirely convinced we wanted to put him in EI at the moment so we were truly fine with this. So I'm working on teaching him a few signs and doing some other things to help him. The speech pathologist has talked to me about re screening him in a few months which I might do. I think he's learned maybe two new words in the past two months so there's progress it's just very slow.

More to come but I need to go to bed!
