This morning, the conversation went like this:
Me: "I can't wait to be skinny again."
Jason: "Me too."
Me: (while glaring at him) That is the WRONG thing to say to your very pregnant wife. Try, 'you look beautiful honey.' Or, 'you are so pretty pregnant.'
Jason: (in a teasing voice) "You look so beautiful pregnant. But it's the truth, I can't wait until your body is back to normal. (my nostrils are almost flaring) Is it wrong for me to want you back to being curvy?"
Me: "I am curvy! Woudn't you call this (stroking my 34 wk belly) curvy!?"
Jason: laugher
Me: "oh well"

Pregnancy...

Things I love about pregnancy are:
-people looking at you with the 'ahh' look.
-random people opening doors for you.
-the first little baby taps.
-the gentle baby kicks (before they reach your ribs).
-having a great excuse to lie around on the couch and watch a movie (well, before I had another one to take care of I enjoyed that :)
-getting new clothes.
-it's the only time in life other than when you were a baby/toddler/little kid that having a big round belly is deemed cute.
-you don't have to worry about sucking your belly in to look thinner (you know you've all done that before!)
-Foods that you eat because of a craving taste WAY better than ever before.
-Sex can be better too-in the middle of pregnancy at least.
-Multiple trips to Taco Bell that would never be excused at any other time.
-Trips to the ice-cream stand that wouldn't be either necessarily (it's one of the perks of being in the third trimester in the summertime...well, it's the only perk).
-any store will let you use their restroom even if they normally don't.
-when people want to touch your belly to feel the baby kick (as long as they are relatives, good friends or little kids I don't mind).
-my hair gets prettier.
-ultrasounds when you see the baby.
-hearing the baby's heart beat every couple weeks, and then every week the last month.
-Buying or receiving baby stuff (especially cute clothes).
-getting to choose names.
-Anticipation for holding your infant on your chest.
Things I hate about pregnancy:
-EVERYthing else not listed that you might be already picturing if you've been pregnant before. :)
I've been feeling bummed about still being pregnant, and even though I'm very happy for Dana that she has her baby now...I can't help but feel a little envious because I want to hold ours too. Only 48 days until the due date (according to my nifty little blog counter), which is pretty darn close, but SO far away too. So, I thought I'd think up all the great parts of this stage in the game. I think I did pretty good. If you can think of anything you love too, feel free to share. :) I can use any kind of boost right now.
