Jason Horn makes comics

I am a cartoonist named Jason Horn. I make a webcomic titled Ninjasaur. It's about a dinosaur ninja.
Today I’m launching a new all-ages sword & sorcery/sci-fi serialized graphic novel titled Power Skull.

This weekend I’ll be at HeroesCon in Charlotte, NC. Here’s one of the new prints I’ll have at table AA-1025. Hope to see you there!

Time is of the essence with six days to go in writer/artist jasonhorn’s Kickstarter “to print the second volume of Ninjasaur and a new full color edition of Volume One”. To help get the word out in this final week of his kickstarter, as well as find out how the dinosaur ninja (who combats wild evil folks) ended up at Thrillbent, Horn did this quick Q&A with me.

Tim O’Shea: How is that you decided to bring Ninjasaur to the Thrillbent family? How much fun has it been to see the Ninjasaur fanbase grow due to your increased Thrillbent exposure?

Jason Horn: I met Mark Waid a few years ago at Baltimore Comic-Con when I showed him my Ninjasaur app. That led to some emails about digital comics and he offered to run a Ninjasaur story on thrillbent if I was interested. Waid’s Kingdom Come was one of the books that got me back into comics. And I’d been a fan of the work on Thrillbent, so I was more than interested.

Life finds a way…on Kickstarter.

I’m Jason Horn, creator of the web comics, Ninjasaur. Two years ago, I lost my job when AT&T closed my office and outsourced the jobs overseas. Since then, I’ve been working freelance jobs and making comics. It’s been working, but it has not been easy.

Working freelance is rough. Never knowing when I’ll get paid isn’t how I like to live my life. But making comics has been a dream come true. It’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. But with the reality of needing to get a steady day job again, along with Kathryn and I about to have a second child, it’s getting harder to continue my dream of making comics.

One of the ways I can continue my dream is with your support. I’m attempting to reach a funding goal of $6500 on Kickstarter to fund a full color collection of my Ninjasaur comics. I can only get them printed if I met my goal. So…if you’ve ever wanted to support my dream or check out my comics, please consider supporting the Kickstarter. I’ve got a ways to reach my goal and only 10 days left to do it. Time is running out.

Thanks so much to those who have already supported me.
