And now Christmas....

Thanksgiving

Peyton's Thankful Turkey (thanks Melissa for the idea!)

What you get when you have an older sister--wearing a pink hat around and thinking its cool!!
We spent a relaxing Thanksgiving at my parents house on the farm, of course had a lots of good food, and then Jason got to go to work. Jason is working graveyards since he's been home from academy which has been taking some getting used to.

Indian Summer?

Jump!

Pure joy

Yes this is a cake--our pizza cake we made for snack at school! Fun!!

Can you call it an Indian summer when its November?? I don't know but it's sure been nice out lately...we enjoy the weather and aren't looking forward to it getting snowy!

What a 5 year old does with mom's camera...

Need I say more??!!

Graduation!

Jason and some of his buddies

Yes a blurry picture--I'll try to get a better one!

Can you tell Jas loves to take pictures?

Yeah!!! After 12 weeks at police academy Jason has graduated and is now certified! So he'll return back to his job as a police officer at the University of South Dakota. We're so glad he's done as we've missed him while he was gone- and he's as well glad he's done and gets to leave Pierre! We're so proud of him!

Jackson's birthday brownie

I just want to touch that candle!

Oooh whats that?

Jackson's birthday morning

I can't believe my baby turned one this past Sunday! It seems like this year has flown by--I can't believe we moved a year ago already...It makes me sad he's one already b/c I really love the baby stages, but every stage and watching him learn new things is always fun! What can Jackson do now? He's been walking for about 2 1/2 weeks now and can walk pretty fast now, he has almost 4 teeth (I know only 4!), he says mama, dada, balloooon, ba (ball), grandpa (I've heard a few times), knows what the tractor and cow says, can point to his head when asked- loves to point to anything. He weighs 20# 2oz, which puts him at the 10th percentile, and is 29in long - 25th percentile. He truly loves his sister and loves to play with her. Still takes 2 good naps/day and wakes up 1-2 times per night more often than not...he is getting better and a little more occasionally sleeping through the night! He continues to love to eat and will eat pretty much anything I give him. Those are a few of the new things I can think of he can do...he's so much fun and continues to be such a happy boy.

Peyton and Jackson's birthday party

Christopher and Pey

Do I really get cake???

Digging in!

Yum!

We had a combined party for the family for Jackson and Pey's birthday parties. It was fun to get all the families together. Jackson wasn't too interested in opening the presents but still had fun. I made a cow cake for Peyton named after her cow - 401...I made a tractor cake hauling straw bales for Jackson's cake...both turned out pretty well. I think they both had a fun party together. Jackson's actual birthday is coming up this Sunday so I'm sure we'll celebrate one more time just the 4 of us!!

Just a few pics

Mmm...love chocolate chip pancakes!

Princess Peyton

This is how we try to distract Jackson while I cut his nails--Pey takes pictures of us...doesn't really work. Peyton sat much nicer for this process-
must be a boy thing!
