THE DUKE
Why I love John Wayne...... I know he is not the best actor and most of his movies he plays the same character but with a different name BUT he is awesome. You know he is going to be the hero and you know he is going to kick butt right? He is strong, smart and always does the right thing. He isn't perfect but he isn't trying to be. He is a crack shot and always wins the draw. He has tough sayings and makes the bad guys look stupid. So he is awesome... and in some small way he reminds me of Grandpa Gibson. LONG LIVE THE DUKE!

Yummy
Those muffins were super good. I am keeping that recipe for sure! Muffins that taste like doughnuts, thats crazy. Still healthy right? They're muffins for heavens sake. Ya I am going with healthy. Shut up. Healthy!
Yum
I don't very often get the bug to cook after a long day but today I did. I made some yummy chicken, with a hot spicy sauce and we had it over rice. My mouth is still burning. It was good. I also made these yummy muffins from a facebook recipe. They actually look kind of like they are supposed to and hopefully taste good. My house smells like cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and sweet spicy sauce. I like this Monday.

Both Hands at the same time? - Thats how we do it!
On May 28th Kyle went in and had carpel tunnel surgery. He had both of his hands done at the same time. Some people thought he was crazy... I mean how was he going to ... well.. you know. We both decided it might be a little uncomfortable for a day or two but was going to be worth it because of time saving, recovery time and time off work. Also I didn't think he would get the other one done once he had one done. But it really did all work out for the best. It's amazing how small the incisiions were for his surgery. However I am a much better patient than I am a nurse. The first day he was home I forgot he was in the bathroom and since he couldn't open the door he was stranded (oops). I got better at it and he is fine now. He was off work 54 days by the time we went on vacation, surgery and recovery. He almost got used to it.
Another great Sunday dinner
Sunday dinners are so different now. We feel a little awkward without our Illinois family with us here. I feel so blessed to have had so many really great Sunday dinners together. I think we have a closer family because we have spent time sitting around the dinner table together. We have a lot of fun with each other and get to share good memories and what is going on in our lives. I know we will get used to not having the whole family each time but it will never feel complete unless they are all with us. I am so thankful for my family. I love you guys so much!
Fun.
