Back To The Beginning Again

My first post on this blog was of the Muse concert I went to. It's that time again. After going to Muse 3 years ago, I didn't think it could get any better - I was wrong. This concert was amazing. The opening band was another of my favorites, Silversun Pickups, which was quite enjoyable. The difference between the opening band and Muse could not have been more apparent. Muse has great music, I think I said 'This is one of my favorite songs' every time they played a song, but they also just put on such a great show. I won't be able to do it justice, so I'll just post some videos and photos. Oh did I mention we were like 3 people from the front on the floor? Yeah. It happened. M.ore to come after this initial post

Oh What's That?...My First Law School Acceptance...??!?

So today after months and months of waiting I finally received my first acceptance to Law School! I am, needless to say probably, very excited. Since I received the acceptance packet at work, I'm having to hold back - but I really feel like shouting with joy.

Who Loves Where The Wild Things Are? I Do!

I've always loved the book, 'Where The Wild Things Are,' and recently the movie came out. Naturally I had to come up with some sort of outfit to wear to the midnight premiere. As it came out so close to Halloween I decided to combine and make myself a Max outfit to be worm both nights. The ensuing chaos and shenanigans were a blast. I maybe brought the book to the premiere with me to read to my friends, and, of course, got my favorite seats for all of us with the rail in front so we could put our feet up. As I sat on the rail to face my friends and read them the book, the entire movie theater became quiet, then everyone shouted for me to read the book loud so everyone could hear. Of course I complied. When I got to the line where Max says, "Let the wild rumpus start" the movie theater went crazy with yells and growls and stamping of feet. It was life altering.

Sooooooo Old!

Well last week I celebrated my 25th birthday. To help myself not feel too sad about being a quarter of a century old, I went to Disneyland!! Turns out it's actually quite difficult to feel old or sad when you're running around acting like a 7 year old all day long and being wished happy birthday by every disney worker who sees you. It was a great trip which included: beach bonfire, disneyland, the getty (highly recommended), Angels baseball game, 12.5 mile hike, the best sushi ever, and seeing the movie 500 days of summer. All in all - might be one of my better birthdays ever! Thanks to everyone who called/texted to wish a happy birthday, it was GREAT!

This Is What I Did

This Is What I Did: This Is What I Did: by Ann Dee Ellis

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
A quick read, but by no means light. Interesting insight into the thought processes of an extremely awkward (and in my opinion therefore enjoyable) protagonist and his search for absolution.
