Keeping up with the Joneses

Carson had his first soccer game tonight. It's pretty entertaining to watch a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds chasing a ball around the field, from time to time losing interest entirely and staring off toward the park or family members or whatever. Carson thought it was funny to run and jump into the goal, and did so several times. As he gets a little older, he'll understand more about the game and how to play, but for now we hope he just has fun with it. After the game we went and got Slurpees, so for the boys that helped contribute to the fun of the evening. A couple of times Elijah tried to run out into the middle of the action, so we assume he'll be ready to play in a couple of years. It's hard to believe that Carson is already at the age of starting little league sports. His uniform is a little on the large side, but he should fit into it nicely by time he's in 7th grade. At the end of July, we spent a few days in Park City for our annual Jones family get-together. We had fun swimming, golfing, shopping, eating out and walking around. The cousins had a lot of fun spending time together. This year a few of us also rode the Alpine Slide. Carson and I went down together, although he was a little hesitant taking the chairlift up, and taking the slide back down. He was quick to let me know as soon as we were going too fast. He says he's not interested in going down again the slide again, but we'll see how he feels a year from now. Both Carson and Elijah loved the pool and had fun jumping in and swimming around. The trip went by too fast, but we really enjoyed it. There were many good photos, so here's a random sampling.
