As you can see it doesn't get much darker than dusk during the Solstice. This will continue for a few weeks and it will slowing get darker and the daylight will become less and less. I would hate to be here in Winter as there is only about 6 hours of daylight.
Young bear here, this guy was a little shy.
This mine goes back about 200 - 250 yards. It was a steep hike up a lot of shell rock.
Moon coming up over the mountain peaks. This is about 1 a.m. an hour later the sun began to rise in to the North, we then realized we should probably get some sleep since we all had to work the next morning.
So, when I first walked around the house I would be living in this summer I found this couch. No joke, I think this came straight from Vale out of the old place on the farm. It made me feel at home and brought back a flood of great memories of G&G Jacobs' farm.
Coming back from Whitehorse we saw 3 bears.This bear almost got his nose in the car.As I was trying to get a close up the other guys in the car were screaming for me to roll the window up. Haha! What a great shot it would've been if they hadn't scared it away.
