Welcome to the Prairie!

Kim and I arrived back in Idaho around the 18th of August. We are now in Grangeville, which is a small community North of the Salmon River on what is known as the Camas Prairie. We are here because Kim was hired as the new FCS Teacher for Grangeville High school.

We've been here for about 3 weeks now and find the town to be small, friendly, and comfortable. We enjoy the almost non-existent traffic and we spend time in the evenings walking around the town and taking in the fresh and cool mountain air.

I am in the process of looking for employment right now and surprisingly there has been a few openings around town. I am also working on plans to return to school and will likely be seeking entrance into a nursing program. At this point I feel like I am not getting anyway with my degree and certification as a Paramedic. Strange how things go, huh?

I have found that many people, business, and organizations love volunteers, but that is hard to do and earn a living. So, for the time being I am getting squared away to be able to volunteer with Grangeville local EMS service. It is amazing how much they (the State) require of you in order to volunteer, but I can see the importance of most of their requirements.

I apologize for not having any photos to go along with this post, but I really haven't been out and about yet. There are lots of scenic river views around the area and lots of wildlife, so hopefully I will have some photos to post soon.
