SANTA CLAWS FUN RUN

All bundled up for the Santa Claws Fun run. When they got up the temperature was 7 degrees.
Ammon was so excited to run the kids 1K this year because he got to wear bells on his shoes.
 Ammon & Benny
I am not sure why Jeff ran in shorts when it was  7 degrees outside (weird nack). I like this pic because you can see his breath....brrrrrr!
Ammon was able to chat with Santa while Jeff was running the 5K. There was a silent moment so Ammon says to Santa "well have a very merry Christmas Santa" it was so cute!
After the race the boys were able to ride in the wagon pulled by horses. This was such a fun morning for  Ammon and Jeff.

PRINCESS TEA PARTY

I decided I should take Burklee to her first Princess Tea Party due to her girlie girlness. She has recently got into Beauty & The Beast and Cinderella. So off we went to enjoy an evening filled with girl stuff.

CANCUN CHALLENGE

Jeff and I were able to travel with the women's basketball team for a tournament in Cancun. We had such a great time getting to know the players, watching basketball, unlimited free food and drinks and of course relaxing in the sun.

I love teasing Jeff with this photo. He looks like he is trying to put out the vibe with his tuff guy face :)

As he would say "Nothing like a Clancy book and sun."

I was a little scared to get off the cart because there are signs on the course warning golfers about crocodiles and boa constrictors!

Jeff hit a ball over by these rocks.  When I walked over to find the ball this croc scared me so bad! I had Jeff get the camera to take a pic and he got quite the scare when the croc flung itself out of the water! I am sure anyone watching us got a good laugh. We looked like two idiots running away!
I tried to sneak up on this little critter to get a picture. When I got to close it got mad at me and started chasing me!

It was sure hard to focus on the ball when I could see this bad boy out of the corner of my eye!

GIRLIE GIRL

 "look at my nails"
 "look at my lips"
Three BEAUTIFUL girls!

I am not sure how my little Burks got so "girlie."  I love how she always says "mom, make me pretty" or "I need to paint my pretty nails." She loves, loves, loves to have her nails painted. This past week she got spoiled twice. First cousin Kari stopped in and got put right to work. A few days later cousin Erica did her nails and cousin Alexa did her hair. She had on a super cute head band but I didn't get a photo.  She loves to go see the Athay girls because the minute she walks in the girls make her pretty!  How I ended up with such a girlie girl is beyond me...I love it :)

FUN RUN

The PTA recently hosted their annual 1-mile fun run to cap off Fitness Week.  Ammon looks forward to this race every year.  Last year as a kindergartner Ammon found out he was quite the runner.  He took off sprinting and never looked back.  This year was a little different. He didn't realize the race started because he thought they were going to use a starting gun and instead it was a siren.  He got off the a slow start but sure enough he kicked it into high gear and found himself in the lead. He ran strong and looked like a natural. When he had one lap to go Jeff offered to run with him because he looked a bit tired.  Ammon refused the help and picked up his pace to the finish.

FALL

It has been so beautiful and enjoyable to go on mountain and road rides this fall. I have tried to go as much as possible and have enjoyed every minute of it.

KIDDOS IN OCTOBER

Ammon finished up a great season of soccer.

While watching one of Ammon's games I failed to keep an eye on the twins and this is where Burks ended up. To top it off she was growling at any kid that came near the water fountain.

The boys have spent most of the past month sleeping in their tent. Burklee wanted to join them and it lasted all of two minutes. The girl will not hold still.

Ammon dressed up for Hawaiian day.
The funny thing about it is he has some matching shorts that we refused to let him wear to school.  We decided to make a deal and told him he could wear them under his jeans. Well, after school he came busting through the front door wearing his 2-inch inseam matching shorts! He told me right when he got to school he took off his pants and wore his little shorts all day. He also got to tell his class about Hawaii. He was definitely on cloud-9.

YELLOWSTONE

Ammon didn't have school Thursday and Friday so I packed up the kids and we headed for Yellowstone.  Poor Jeff had to stay behind and work.  We left Thursday morning and drove to West Yellowstone and checked into the hotel.  We had packed a lunch so we could have a picnic in the park but the weather forced us to change our plans.  After we ate our lunch in our hotel room we headed out in search of some animals.  The kids had such a fun time looking for animals.  We stopped to look at some Bison and I thought Kellan was going to have a heart attack as one approached the Yukon.  I kept trying to reassure him he was safe inside the car.  He wasn't so sure about that big ole bison getting so close. We were able to go see Old Faithful go off and then we had to head back to the hotel because the roads were closing.  The kids didn't mind because they all wanted to go swimming. We spent almost three hours in the pool...I was done after one.  It was exhausting trying to handle three kids in a pool by myself.  The next morning we had some breakfast in the hotel and then headed back into the park. It was snowing pretty good so the dark animals really stood out. Ammon was so excited to be able to see the animals so well.  We loved being there in a blizzard because it made everything so beautiful. We stayed in the park till about 3 pm and then headed home so we could make it back for Uncle Tanner's football game.  We had such a good time together. I was very impressed at how well they all did and how much fun they had.
