For my birthday Jeff got me a gift card to Massage Envy. :) I have never had a real massage before! I was a little nervous because I didn't know what to expect, but when she started I wasn't really worrying about anything after that......However, when she had me flip over I was totally dizzy. It started to go away but when I stood up it got worse again. Because I had never had one before, I didn't think too much of it, but it lasted for a while. Then I started to get short of breath and felt like I was going to have an anxiety attack. She had used essential oils and I think because I use those semi-regularly it brought up some emotions that I had repressed. It was not fun, but when I got home I used my oils that I had here and it helped to calm me down. Then I had the BEST nights sleep that I have had in a LONG time. Even though the kids kept waking me up (for some reason) I still woke up very rested.
I hope to be able to try this again without those yucky side effects, just the positive ones! :)

Major Points!
It has been a long month! Sick kids, sick husband, 31st birthday, going back to school.....I could go on. However, just when you think no one notices all that you do, this happens. :)
It was really sweet and was a great ending to a really good day.
Thanks hunny! I love you too!

Ice Bowls
It has been cold here lately. No probably not in comparison to MN or UT, but for us So Cal people, when it feels like 16 degrees outside at 9:30 in the morning, THAT'S COLD! The boys were driving me nuts this morning so I sent Ethan out to play. He comes back in with ice "bowls" as he calls them. He was pretty excited, they want it to snow!, so this is as close as they have gotten so far. Fun stuff!
Christmas Montage
Santa came!
Waiting to come downstairs. They let us sleep in until 7! Which is amazing since normally they are up at 5:30 or 6!
Logan got Andrew a model car. He loved it!
His other favorite is Alvin and the Chipmunks!
Zack's favorite, balls!
the Wii!!! YAY! Totally unexpected. Thanks Mason!
Ethan knows what girls like! RINGS!
All of Linkin Park's cd's. :)
LEGO heaven!
This goofy shot is for you Shane! Thanks for the gift!
Our Christmas morning started off great! We had fun opening presents and then playing with them. We were looking forward to having friends over later for dinner. Poor Jeff however got so sick! I felt so bad for him, and then I started feeling sorry for myself! I got over it though when I saw how miserable Jeff was. I'm the only one who hasn't gotten sick yet this season, and I pray that it stays that way! (Please pray for me too!)
For the first time with our family we read the Christmas story in Luke chapter 2 the night before Christmas. We don't give our children lots of presents at Christmas because we want them to remember why we celebrate.
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!
Christmas Eve
Jeff thought I was being mean when I had the boys open up Pj's for Christmas Eve. He felt that they would be truly upset by it. Not so! They were really happy about the new pajama's they got. Andrew got How to Train Your Dragon, Ethan got Lego Star Wars and Zack got Thomas.
After Ethan put them on he told me that it was a "Dream come true to get Lego jammies!"
Zack has the most expressive face of any kid I've met. Those eyebrows are hilarious!
Christmas Eve with the Hanson's
Our friends the Hanson's invited us over for a candelight Christmas Eve dinner. It was lots of fun to get to know them better!
They do an informal talent show every year and our kids didn't want to participate. I read a Christmas story. Their kids however did a great job playing instruments, writing poems and doing tricks. Rebecca can take any word and say it backwards. We tested her and it was amazing how quickly she could do it! If you know her, you should ask her to do it for you!
They decorated cookies for Santa too. The kids loved it and didn't make as big a mess as I expected! There was a mess, but not too bad. They had lots of fun too!
They have a lab who had 11 puppies just after Halloween. They were down to 3 puppies left and it was SO much fun to play with them! If Jeff weren't allergic to them we would have come home with one for sure! So sweet! I wish I had a picture!

Now that I have caught you all up on our happenings, I hope to be more regular about posting! I always say that and never follow through, but I really hope to be better! I want to stop doing my scrap-booking and make this my annual scrapbook. It has been very redundant to do both a scrapbook and the blog AND Facebook! So in 2011 I hope to do better!
I hope that you all have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! Remember why we celebrate the season and enjoy your families!

My Little Bucket Filler
At Bluebonnet they give out awards to those kids who are "bucket fillers". Which basically means that if they are caught doing something nice for someone, or helping them out they get awarded. Then every week they pick a student to be the bucket filler of the week in each grade level. Andrew was chosen! He was on the weekly announcements, got a free meal at Rosa's Cafe and a pencil. So proud of my little man!
Can you see how nervous he was?
Decorating the Tree
I hate fluffing the fake tree so Jeff gets this job every year. As you can see, he LOVES it.
:)
The boys couldn't wait to start decorating!
One of the girls that used to babysit for me made the boys this Nativity that they could actually play with.
However, they started pulling pieces off. Such a boy thing to do. I'm so excited that I have a pretty place to put it this year!
