Father's Day

The Dad's wearing their bow ties the kids colored.

I <3 My Daddy!

The kids colored shirts for their Dads and the Dad's had to guess who they belonged to. Jeff kicked butt and got them all right. :) Sometimes you think he isn't paying attention to the little things....turns out he does. :)

Papa getting his back scratched. We need to put up brillo pads along the corners of the walls so he can scratch his back that way. Lol

Science Club

There is a group of kids that get together once a week to do science experiments and this past week it was my turn. I'm not a science person so I didn't have notebooks for them to write down their hypothesis about making corroded pennies shiny. Or about which type of string the balloon rockets would work best on. We improvised and the kids had fun.

Some of the pennies did clean up and others needed more scrubbing. My house smelt like vinegar for days and I kept getting my toes caught on the fishing line I used for the balloon rockets.
I don't have pictures of that because I was busy holding the line for the rockets.

Lynx Lake

As a family we went to Lynx Lake at the beginning of June.
It was beautiful and peaceful and a lot of fun.

We rented a boat and took turns riding it around the lake

The boys went with the Dad's and had fun rocking it and getting to drive it around

Us girls got to sit back and relax and let Dad do all the work. :)

There was no rocking in this boat!

When we got back to the shore Andrew had learned how to skip rocks across the water. I think his highest number was 10! I was impressed!

Then we had a picnic lunch and hasseled Jeff and Dad into rigging up the fishing rods so the kids could go fishing. It took a long time to get the poles ready and the kids were interested for about 10 minutes. But they had fun. We wouldn't have wanted to catch any fish in that lake anyway. (It was kinda mucky and gross)

Don't you love how Jeff's hat is big enough for both of us?

Salt+Glue+Watercolor=FUN!

Pinterest has become my best friend. So many projects for kids and so many recipes to try. Too fun!
This project was so much fun, for me too! The paint spreads through the salt really fast and it makes it look really cool. The salt won't stay on indefinitely though. Once the paint is dry it will crack and break off. But it leaves the colors on the paper.

It also turned into a great sensory activity once most of the kids were done.
I had salt on my floor for days and days.

I made this for my hunny :)

Zoo

We woke up on a Saturday a couple weeks ago and it was PERFECT outside. It was Memorial Day weekend actually. Anyway. It was 80 degrees and gorgeous so we decided to take advantage and go to the zoo. Since it wouldn't be this nice for months. I'm so glad we did. We had fun seeing all the monkeys.

This monkey jumped right over my head. I thought it was going to jump on me actually.

I have a picture of Andrew in this shell when he was a baby! He's grown a little and he doesn't need my help sitting in it this time either.

All because two people fell in love
