Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter despite the fact that the kids were not feeling well. We went to the doctor today and confirmed that they have pink eye, ear infections, and their asthma is acting up! Delainey has the worst of it, so she was pretty subdued yesterday, but Cole and Camdyn still managed to have fun hunting eggs and playing with their cousins.

Easter morning...

Dying eggs earlier in the week...Yes, they are wearing nothing but diapers/underwear! We probably could have skipped the messy dye, because they had just as much fun putting stickers on the eggs afterward. I have never known kids so obsessed with stickers!

We certainly missed having Jeff/Daddy home for Easter, but we are getting excited for his return and have lots of fun things planned in the coming months!

Horses!

Cole has been obsessed with horses ever since he first saw the movie "Spirit." We stopped by a barn the other night to visit some horses that my niece, Caleigh, is taking care of. The reaction all 3 of them had was priceless! The girls were shouting, "Nay, Nay!!" and Cole was grinning from ear to ear! I wish I had brought my camera with me because my iPhone pics turned out a little blurry.

Easter in Cartersville

The Easter Celebrations started a week early in the Johnson family. Jason and Anna invited us up for lunch and an egg hunt last weekend and the kids had a blast. Cole and Jack have so much fun together, and obviously they have the same fashion sense. :)

Cole is convinced that this Easter bonnet is actually a cowboy hat and he has been wearing it every day since! Clearly I need to get this boy a real cowboy hat!

We are looking forward to more Easter celebrations this weekend!

Spring is Here!

We have been enjoying so much time outdoors lately with this beautiful Spring time weather, but of course we are all paying for it now with our allergies acting up. Here's a few pics of some of our afternoons in the sunshine and pollen!

At the park in our neighborhood...

I was SO close to getting a decent picture of all 3 of them! Too bad Camdyn decided to take a drink at that moment. :)

Delainey loves to swing, Camdyn prefers the bench!

Cole and Delainey are quickly becoming little buddies. The two of them fight a lot, mostly because she follows him around and is always in his business, but at the same time, he is starting to enjoy having a playmate around. Camdyn likes to keep her distance, and have the toys to herself while they aren't paying attention. :)

Thank goodness "washable paint" really is washable! The funny thing is, even though she had fun making the mess, Delainey was going around with her paper towel trying to wipe all the paint up, even trying to wipe it off of her painting! Maybe I am teaching them too well how to clean up after themselves!

I went consignment sale shopping a few weekends ago and hid a stash of toys in the spare garage to give to the kids later (they certainly didn't need any more toys right now). Well, I forgot about them and Cole discovered the stash one day when we were playing outside. It was like Christmas in March!

I finally found a fruit that Delainey loves-watermelon! Oddly enough, she prefers any fruit that comes out of a can or jar, like canned peaches or pineapple, but lately has been turning her nose up at any kind of fresh fruit. But clearly she was all about this juicy watermelon, and thank goodness I was smart enough to give it to them outside with nothing but a diaper on! Ironically, Camdyn did not like it, and she will normally eat ANYTHING! Camdyn was trying to eat the rind first, and wouldn't let me help her with it, so she gave up and let Delainey have hers.

The Girls at Play

Most mornings, the girls wake up about 20 or 30 minutes before Cole, so I bring them in my bed for a little cuddle time before we start our day. Cole got this cute sandwich making set for his birthday, and while he was still asleep this morning, the girls got to play with it.

Camdyn was so cute, naming each topping as she put her sandwich together, just like I showed her!

The girls have also been really into their baby dolls recently. Today Camdyn decided to give her dolls a breathing treatment, and Delainey quickly joined in! So perhaps we have a future pair of doctors on our hands!

The Simple Things in Life

A while back, I was doing my "marathon errand running" (which occurs when my mom or Jeff can stay home with the kids during their nap and I frantically run around town trying to accomplish a week's worth of errands in 2.5 hours), when I spotted this, the Mother of All Shopping Carts, at Target.

I wanted to jump for joy and do cartwheels down the aisle! Hallelujah, there is finally a store I can take all 3 kids to!!!! Not that I necessarily WANT to bring the kids shopping with me, but there are some days that I am dying to get out of the house or all we need is a gallon of milk, and I feel totally stranded at home. Cole is finally getting to the age where he could walk beside me in a store if he needed to, but when I have all 3 of them with me, I just don't feel entirely comfortable unless he is strapped down in seat. Especially at a place like Target, which is like Disney World to a 3 year old!

This week I had the perfect opportunity to take the kids on their first Target adventure. Believe it or not, the girls have only been in a grocery store once in their entire 18 months! All 3 of them were so well-behaved that I actually walked around Target for an hour and a half, got every single thing on my list and even had time to browse!

So, thank you Target, for it is the little things in life that make a huge difference to us moms of multiples!

Visit to Birmingham

Last month Cole and I went to visit Terra, Andrew, Will and Logan in Birmingham for the twins' third birthday! The boys had an adorable construction themed birthday party and Cole got to have a sleepover with his buddies. We had such a good time!

Getting ready for their bedtime story together: (and no, they did not all sleep together in this bed, they never would have gone to sleep!)
