18 Months!

My little boy is growing up so fast! He has learned so many new things in the past couple of months and it has been so much fun! He makes me laugh everyday and I can't believe how much I love him and how much joy he brings me. There are no words for amount of joy he brings me and how much I love him. I can't kiss or hug him enough. I know one day he won't let me kiss or hug him the way I do now so I don't let a chance go by to squeeze him.
At his 18 month Dr. appointment here was his stats,
Weight....26 1bs 4 oz........76%
Height.....33 3/4 in............88%
Head Cir..48.5 cm.............79%

Here are some things I would like to remember about Christopher at this age:

*Favorite toy is cars (see picture above)
*Favorite thing is his blanky
*Favorite food is yogurt (loves to eat it by himself with a spoon)
*Favorite song is "If your happy and you know it" (He loves the part "shout hooray" He puts his arms up and says "Yay"it's actually the only part of the song he does)
*Loves to play outside
*Points to where he wants to go or wants me to go
*Knows where his belly button is
*Knows what a dinosaur says and a dog says and a bear says
*Loves to imitate anything we do or say...we better watch ourselves :/
*Words he says,
"Day Do" (Thank you) (this is my favorite, he will bring me things and say thank you because that is what I say to him when he brings me things)
"Mama" "Dada" "Na" (Rhona) "Ko" (Rocko) "Ah Da" (All Done) "Mo" (More) "Go Go Go"    "No" "Stop" "Ball" "Car" "What"
*likes to knock on doors
*Loves to dance. He will dance whenever he hears music, whether it is in the store, the car or at home. It started out as a squat, then side to side sway, then a back and forth sway and now he does all of them plus great arm motions. Dancing is in his blood!
*Loves his doggies! He loves to tease them. Rocko scares easily and CJ thinks it is hilarious
*Hates to have his diaper changed or get dressed
*Blows kisses, High Fives and does The Rock/Pound It
*Waves bye bye and waves nigh night
*Still the smiliest boy ever. It is the first thing everyone always says about him when they see him
*Just learned how to jump (he doesn't get off the ground yet) and loves to do it on my bed or in his crib
*Loves nursery!
*Is a people watcher.....whenever we get around other people, especially people he doesn't know he stands and watches them very closely before he gets comfortable and starts to play or get engaged in the activity.
*Very energetic but cautious at the same time.
*Just starting to be picky about food
*Loves to play and wrestle with his daddy but when he is sad or in pain he wants only his mommy

He watched them play tennis for almost 10 minutes!

This train went around a huge track and CJ followed it all the way around pointing to it. He loved it!

Everyone was happy about mommy spilling the veggie straws

I love these two!

Vegas Baby!

When Jennifer told me she would fly CJ and I out to her house if I would babysit her kids for a few days I immediately said "Yes!". It doesn't take much convincing when an opportunity to see any of my family comes up.

I was so nervous about this plane ride to Vegas. We had one stop and didn't have to change plans which was the good part but the flight time all together was about 6 hours. Yikes! I prepared the ultimate activity/treat bag for CJ with all new toys and activities. CJ's last plane ride at 14 months didn't go so well and I was so exhausted after it that I wasn't sure how this was going to go. My preparation paid off and I was one lucky mama. It went so smoothly and CJ was an angel on the plane. We definitely did everything in the bag twice and he ate more cookies than I have ever given him in his life, which isn't very many if any at all. :/ But..... I was one happy mama after and so was CJ.

It was late when we arrived but CJ was wide awake and so excited to see the Stubbs kids. Camden and Dallen got out all the cars for him and CJ thought he was in heaven. He LOVES cars and he had never seen so many in his life. He only has a few at home.
Camden was so wonderful with CJ. He was the first one by his side if CJ was unhappy trying to cheer up CJ by find him a toy or being silly to make him laugh.
With a three hour time difference CJ's schedule was just a little bit off and on top of that he was teething. (by the way I am so sick of teething!! Isn't he done yet?!) So...CJ had quite a few rough moments. I love this picture of him laying on the floor. He is by the fridge because he wanted to play in the fridge. He was so grouchy that day and nothing I did made him happy. One time when I came upon him whining and I found him laying on the floor... like he had given up. I felt so bad for him :(

Lyndee was great with CJ too. CJ had fun playing with her as she pushed him in the laundry basket or ran around with him.

The fabulous Aubrey did my hair and gave me a pedicure while I was there which I always look forward to when I see her! She knows all the latest hairstyles and is amazing!

 Movie Night!

Dallin taught him how to play the piano. As you can see CJ was having a great time! He was singing and swinging his feet too!

Aubrey and I experimented with the muddy buddie recipe and made three different kinds, Cupcake, Jello, Reese's peanut butter. My favorite was the cupcake ones. They were delicious. CJ loved them too as you can see from the picture.

My mom came down for a couple days and on Sunday we visited the Las Vegas Temple. I had never been there so it was neat to see it even though it was a 100 degrees outside. Yikes!

CJ apparently didn't want to sit there for the picture. If you look closely he has a fountain of water coming out of his head. hehe not the best place for a picture, I guess CJ knew that. :)

The flight back wasn't a smooth at the flight to Vegas. We had delays in Vegas and in Phoenix on the plane when it was 106 degrees outside with no AC on the plane while we waited for things to be fixed and CJ screamed all the way up and I walked the aisle for 40 minutes trying to get him to sleep. Definitely not fun but we made it and it could have been worse.
His favorite thing that I brought on the plane was this truck. It was new and he thought it was the greatest thing ever.
A big thank you to Jen and Steve for flying us out for a wonderful week with them and their kids!

I love baby feet!

This kid makes me laugh everyday! On this particular day we arrived home after some shopping and I parked the car and turned around to see him like this. I guess he loves his feet as much as I do!!
