Beauty In The World...

Today I decided to write about a few different moments from the last couple weeks that brightened our day. I think I feel a fancy quote coming on...

"To enjoy a happy life one must simply recognize the little happy moments scattered along the journey"

Enjoy our 3 wonderful moments...

1. A few weeks back Mark shipped off to LA to visit Paul, April, and their new little baby Lilian. It was a wonderful time with a beautiful sealing and family reunion! But one of my favorite moments was when Aunt Nancy and I went on a quick drive to grab something from the store. On our way home we got a bit lost...and ended up seeing the funniest thing!

Remember we are in LA. No snow and like 60-70 degree weather. Someone decided they really wanted snow and so they had taken quilt batting and nailed it to their lawn. But even better as we drove by the lawn care guy was out front weed wacking the edges to keep the grass back. Basically it looked like he the was edging his snowy lawn.

2. Last week we attended the annual elementary school teaches basketball match. It was our girls school verses another local school. We lost the game for the first time in 3 years, but we are pretty sure the other team was tired of losing and brought along some ringers. At the end of the game the we were talking to the mascot of the girls school and they were allowed to put on the mascot costume. The girls were so excited to become rockets! Kids can find happiness in just about anything!

3. Every Sunday after church we go on a 10 min. nature walk (it only takes 3 min if its freezing cold or raining!) This week we were taking a leisurely stroll and everything was nice and crisp after some morning rain. As we came around the last bend the sunlight was shinning through the trees and it looked like the trees were covered in Christmas lights. All the branches were covered in sun filled rain drops. It was awesome to see a natural Christmas celebration!

Enjoy finding your own happy moments!
