Taya Bug

Taya looks so cute in her preschool pictures. I love that big cheesy smile. Taya is such a happy, giggly girl. She has a big deep belly laugh that always catches peoples attention. She LOVES books! Any and all books. She knows all her letters and can do the sounds for all them. She can count to 100 (1, 2, skip a few, 99, 100). She can also tell time really well - she will read her Dora watch and announce - it's 44 pounds! She woke up from her nap today and said "I've been asleep for 40 months!". Taya loves to sing and dance and is a natural mother to Holden and all her baby dolls. We love our Taya Bug!

All About Dawson

Dawson was the Star Student last week in Kindergarten and got to make this cool poster
All About Dawson
This is what I look like

My Family

Disneyland is my favorite place

When I grow up, I want to be a Motorcycle Policeman (Because Dawson thought it was so cool when one gave his Daddy a ticket for speeding in his new charger on the way to preschool. Dawson thought it was so cool that he told everyone all about it - mommy, grandma and grandpa and even his preschool teachers.)
My favorite thing to do is Swimming
If I had one wish, I would wish to be a Superhero (Like Father, Like Son)

The Death of a Bouncy

Our baby is addicted to the bouncy seat. In case you haven't noticed most pictures of him are taken in it - he plays in it, sleeps in it – he and the bouncy are friends. I pick him up in the bouncy and drag them both all over the house. It's quite the addiction. Then yesterday, something horrible happened. As I am bouncing him (ok – maybe a bit too hard) – the bouncy seat breaks! Yep – we obviously bounce a bit too much. I thought to myself – what do we do? Should we just skip church? How can we get ready without the bouncy? I re-grouped and put Holden in the swing, where he proceeded to scream for the next 20 minutes (I think he was in the Anger stage of the grieving process over the loss of his bouncy). We did make it to church, but the minute we got home I got on Craigslist and found a great bouncy that is a big upgrade from his old one and was only $15 (would have been $50 new - love Craigslist!). Jason went and picked it up on his way to a fireside last night and by 8:30PM, I had a happy bouncing baby boy again.

Here's Holden this morning enjoying his little trip the the Costa Rican Rainforest with waterfalls, monkeys and all....

Hot Tubbin'

It was our first cool day here on Saturday - high 60's and windy! So, what better thing to do than go hot tubbin! While Jason and I did chores and projects - Taya, Dawson and his neighbor friend Kyle had a hot tub party. I wish I were a kid again! The pool was only 56 degrees - but they were brave enough to swim around until frozen and then get warmed up. Fun times!

Taya's Day at the Patch.......

Taya had a special treat today to take her Daddy on her preschool field trip to Bishop's Pumpkin Patch. They both had a lot of fun - except for the scary part - when the train when through the tunnel and went "choo choo" :)

PBS (Post Baby Syndrome)

Does anyone know how long PBS lasts? You know - Post Baby Syndrome - the don't touch me because I smell like milk, I am tired, I am overwhelmed and the baby is crying...that syndrome. If you do know, can you please call Jason and let him know since he has been asking me that question quite a bit lately.

Taya Breastfeeds?

Did you know Taya can breastfeed? Yes, she is quite competent at breastfeeding her baby. All you new moms out there, feel free to give her a call and ask for some tips about positioning, etc. She is really fast - so that is a tip I wish she would share with me! Taya loves to play mommy. She told me last week that she wants to grow up and be a mommy with a big belly, big boo-boobs, a big head and big hair - too cute.

Holden's Blessing

Holden was blessed at church last Sunday and it was a great experience - once we got there. It was hectic trying to get the house cleaned, food for the luncheon prepped and everyone dressed and out the door. But, once we got to church - we were able to relax. Thanks to all our family who came to Holden's special day.
