my ramblings

When my little sis came to town! Yeah, so maybe I'm the little sis, but whatever. She came to interview for some internships for the summer, I really hope she gets one, it'd be a blast for her to be here! She cracks me up! (this is my sis, Laura, cousin Barbara, and me at California Pizza Kitchen!)

Guess who's getting a dog? ME! But I need your help...I don't know what kind I want. There are a few stipulations...

1. Apartment friendly
2. Able to take on runs or walks
3. Not too too big
4. Doesn't shed too much

I'm not looking for a cute-sy dog, but an animal I can go do things with. What triggered it was going to the dog park with Rachel and Allison this past week and had an absolute blast! And plus I've grown up with dogs and have wanted one for a long time and I wont be living with someone who is allergic!

I'm also looking at apartments...I'm going to be moving into one by myself! I'm pretty darn excited! Thinking about the Mountain Brook/English Village/Homewood area, maybe southside. Let me know if you have any ideas!

The wedding this weekend was absolutely beautiful! The Lord gave us the best weather for an outside ceremony! We took a million pics, here are the highlights...

All the bridesmaids had charms by our place cards that meant different things. Sarah had the wedding bells (obviously), Katie got baby shoes (haha!), Jessi got an anchor (don't remember what that one meant), Sarah's sisters got a camera (adventurous, I think) and an airplane (travels a lot). I got a ring meaning I was next to be engaged. ha!

I had to through this one in...I was definitely the one who caught Sarah's flowers...it was a fight between me and Jessi and I prevailed!











After the reception, we all met up with my sister and she showed us a night out at Northgate! I know I had a good time, hope everyone else did as well!

I was getting ready one day last week on my off-week to go meet my grandmother for lunch and I hear a knock on my door. I figured it was my grandmother, so, even though my hair was half wet and my makeup was halfway on, I went to the door. To my suprise, I was greeted with a man that flipped open a FBI card and said he was with Homeland Security and wanted to ask me a few questions about one of my neighbors. Apparently they were trying to decide if a "federal investigation" was deserved. Of course I don't know anyone in my apartment complex except for the creepy lady that keeps her blinds open so she can see our comings and goings. Needless to say, I was of no help to him and currently don't feel quite as safe as I used to.

So Friday I'm flying out to Texas, that is if southwest deems my plane "acceptable"...I read an article that said southwest canceled flights due to planes not meeting standards..that kinda scares me, oh well. Sarah's wedding is Saturday and I'm super excited. (1) for her cause I love her and Chad to death and think they are ridiculously cute together, (2) cause all of my favorite people from Nac will be there and it will most definitely be the party of the season. ha ha. After the wedding, I will be heading to the ole G-town to spend some time with the madre and padre and hopefully a couple friends I still have there. This week's going to be busy busy, but that's what I LOVE!

Friday night, we had a rock band party at Clay's house. I'm pretty sure I missed my calling! ha. Allison, Rachel, Sarah, and I made a pretty good band! These are the best of my pics, of course I only took about 4, Rachel and Allison have the best ones.
