I love spring. The pollen is a little annoying and the humidity is frustrating, but I absolutely love springtime. The weather is gorgeous and after winter it's great to get outside, just to be outside. I've gone on a couple long runs this week and it was fabulous. Today, as I was running I was overcome by the smell of honeysuckle and other sorts of flowers. I love looking at the beautifully decorated lawns and all the pretty colors. Makes me happy. Maybe one day I'll have a pretty garden too!

For me, there's something philosophical about running. Maybe it's the fact that my mind wanders so much and I feel as though I am free to think about anything. I ran past a middle school the other day as the kids were headed to start their day. I had to laugh to myself cause it made me think of those awkward years. Oh dear, was I awkward. I definitely had the HUGE glasses and hadn't quite figured out how to tame my hair. Fortunately, that was before the days of digital pictures, so the number of actual pictures during that stage is less and less.

So I've never really been a countdown person, until recently...

13 days til the glorious beach!
30 days til the Dominican Republic!!

I'm pumped about both! I'll get back from the beach and have one work-week then I'm off again! Heck yeah! It's going to be a busy couple months!
