Clay and I at my great-grandfather's 105th birthday party last Sunday!! He is one incredible old man!!! Sadly I did not have my camera with me so this picture came from my aunt and it's the only one I have, but we had a good time visiting the family. Speaking of, we have done a lot of family hopping visiting Clay's and mine since he placed that rock of my finger!

Guess what?
We're engaged!! See:
Here's the story:
Tuesday Clay and I worked. So like normal, he came over to my house and we rode together to work. He told me not to eat breakfast cause he was bringing a "breakfast surprise". He brought me my absolute FAVORITE muffins (which happen to be my favorite breakfast food) from magic muffins! While we were eating breakfast, I asked him if he had brought clothes to change into so we could go to the Y after work and workout for a little bit. He said no, that he didn't want to go, so I said "Well I'm going." Clay was like, "I was hoping we could do something, like go out to eat." I said, "where?" and got the answer, "surprise."
After work, we went and ate at Ocean, this restaurant in Southside that we have been talking about going to for quite a while. Dinner was great, I had no clue what was coming! After dinner, Clay suggested me going home, changing and then coming over to his house and us lay in the hammock and watch the meteor shower (we had already talked about this) and I was excited! We love laying in the hammock talking and looking at the stars, so I thought it would be so much fun!
We lay in the hammock for awhile just talking and thinking we are seeing shooting stars...who knows if we saw any. I asked Clay to trade sides with me cause 1/2 my body was falling asleep and we do, next thing I know he reaches across me, I'm like "what are you doing" and he says something like "scratching my leg" and I think, ok. Apparently he was getting the ring out of the pocket in the hammock! I had no clue!! He gazed in my eyes and said sweet things to me then pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him! I was like, "YES!" We got so wrapped up in being excited that I forgot about the ring! So I ask him to put it on my finger. He made this face and said, "I don't think it's going to fit." My thought: YES IT WILL! And it did! Then I thought: man, wish I could see how pretty and this thing feels huge! He turns on the lantern above us and of course we are both blinded...We go inside and the calling everyone begins!
As far as planning goes, No date, no place, just know we're getting married sometime this upcoming spring and that my brother is marrying us! (he's in seminary) It will probably be sometime in June!
We're just ecstatic and enjoying it!
Here are a couple ring pics. It's a round cut, antique-y style and I love it! It's gorgeous and so sparkly!
Just being goofy!
Clay did such a great job picking it out!
