Back to the bay

Charlie, Jack and I flew down to the bay area to visit some friends and family. I decided that I'd much rather fly down this time because the drive last time was a little less than enjoyable, even though it meant I was going to be flying solo with the littles. It actually went really smoothly- lots of snacks, activities and a carton of chocolate milk for bargaining when necessary :)
I didn't take near enough photos. I think I must've been recovering from the lack of sleep. I didn't get any photos of baby Willow, grandma Regina and grandpa Frank, the Crannas...the list goes on and on. Well, there's always next time. Going home is always such a whirlwind. I barely have time to catch my breath, but I always enjoy every second.

A trip to Rockaway Beach

We took a trip to Rockaway Beach with a few of our closest friends. It was awesome. Nikki found these cottages right on the beach. Each family stayed in a cottage. There was a sandbox that kept the boys entertained for hours. The 2 days will filled with food, kite flying, sandcastles and good times. A ton of photos below...

Charlie Mae at 8 months

I'm a little behind, seeing as how Charlotte is now 9 months, so let's see if I can rack my brain for this post...

You:
Love to stand and we're betting that you'll be walking by 9 months.
Had a month long battle with a nasty virus that involved lots of sleepless nights, a stretch of projectile vomiting, TONS of diaper changes, a nonstop runny nose and a trip to the ER for IV fluids :(
Are still so in love with your brother.
Grew your two top teeth this month.
Met developmental milestones left and right- saying dada, waving and saying bye bye, and dancing to music.
Took your second plane trip. This time it was back to the bay area (your first was at 2 months old and you flew with mom to Oregon from the bay area when we moved north).
Are almost always smiling except when on long car rides.
Love watching your brother's tumbling class.
Are an absolute joy to be around.

Me:
A wee bit underslept this month.
Awfully sore in the boobies (adjusting to you having 4 teeth).
Absolutely smitten with you.

Up and at 'em!
That smile gets me every time
