Family Update
On Friday February 27, 2009 Nate officially became ours! What an amazing day it was. Nate did so well with all the busyness of the day, he smiled and ran around playing. When asked what his adoption day meant, he says, "forever and ever!" So adorable. Katie did amazingly well not having all the focus on her, and was even over heard saying "I love my baby brother!" Anthony and I made it through the day without too many tears... The days following I felt a bit emotional, I think just in letting go all the stress from imagining loosing him. Just last night I had a dream that a biological family member surfaced and wanted him, then I woke up and remembered that can never happen! Thank you, Jesus!!! For now, our family is complete and it is such a freeing feeling to be able to reflect back on the past almost 3 years and see how far we have come, how amazing God has been in holding us up through this. Anthony and I want to thank you all our friends and family who have stood by our sides, holding us up in prayer and support all this time. Each of you made it that much easier to bear. Thank you!
On adoption day my camera decided to quit working. I am still trying to get everyone to email me the pics they took, so I can make a slide show of the pictures. I will get them loaded up as soon as I can.

Cupcake Madness!
Today Katie and I had fun making Valentine's Day cupcakes... always are messy but fun activity. Katie especially loves to bake and then of course lick anything with frosting! These are the things memories are made of and this year I am making a resolution to spend more time doing these things with my darling children. Before I know it, they will be grown and not want to spend time like this with "Mommy" I cherish these days, even through the fatigue, kids yelling, illnesses and the like. Nate and Katie make every moment so precious. Thank you God for my babies!

Nate News!
Today we have exciting news in the process of moving forward with Nate's adoption. I spoke briefly with our attorney today and she said we will probably be able to finalize Nate's adoption February 27! It is a bit later in the month than we had been hoping, but it is still February, and we were hoping for that. It is so hard to believe that after 2.5 years of waiting and dreaming about this day, that we are only weeks away from it. It has been such a long and hard road, but so worth every tear that has been shed! I thank God daily for bring Nate into our lives, He knew exactly what kind of little boy we needed, and he chose our Nater tater tot!
