I never knew how true that was until I went to my very first circus on Saturday. Justin wasn't to excited about it, but he went and was a great sport. We had to force Layla to go, ( on the weekends she likes to lounge around the house and do nothing. I guess the week of school wears her out.) but in the end was glad that we did. Layla paid to get her face painted and is so funny about things like that. She thought she was the bees knees all night long. Cotton candy was a must and red ice cream for Urban (slushy). The Elephant act, the motorcycles and the guy being shot out of the cannon were some of our favorites. And a clown act with a toy elephant had the kids enthralled. It was one of my favorites to. It made for a very entertaining evening. Thanks to my friend Lori for the free tickets!!!
PS. Wrote this post a month ago and never posted it! HaHa. Well you get it now.

Gymnastics
The girls have been doing a little gymnastics for the past couple of weeks and have really enjoyed it. Layla loves the uneven bars and the floor exercises. Hazel loves to hurl herself off the vault/trampoline as high as she can go and walking the balance beam. We are just glad that they are able to do something while the weather is cold. It eats up our Saturdays but they are having a lot of fun. There are a couple of weeks left and I think that they will be pretty sad when it is over.

Birthday overload!!!
So Hazel and Urban's Birthdays are rather close together so this year we decided to go to the Dells Indoor Water park with friends to celebrate. It worked out well because some of our friends have kids with birthdays the same week. So we went and had a great time. We all stayed together in some condos and the kids loved the HUGE bathtub. Urban crashed during dinner and missed the cake and ice cream. So we did his the next morning. It's tempting to that every year!
Urban's cake
Hazel's cupcake. The other girls I did blue and orange of the same ballerina tutu.
The big tub.
Urban crashed out missing his party.
The inside of Urban's cake. I think he liked it.

Bikes
Layla got a new bike for her birthday and has really enjoyed riding it around. It is obviously a Trek and we were super excited that we were able skip the 20" and go from the 16" to the 24". She was debating between this and a pink mountain bike but liked this more in the end. It is a Lara. She is sad that it is getting a little too cold to ride outside but is really to ride it more in the spring.
After we got it, Hazel was super happy that she got Layla's old bike. The fun of having an older sister I guess. She was excited though and we were going to put the training wheel on for her but she said that she was old enough to ride without. We were a little hesitant but let her try it out anyways. Well after a few tries, she was following Layla up and down the street. We are so proud of them both. Here are a few pictures.

Busy Barn
Almost every year we go to some fall festival with the kids. This year we went to Busy Barns in Fort Atkinson just like last year. The kids had a blast. Hazel went there the week before for a school field trip but still had tons of fun. It was the first year that we had to pay for everyone since all of the kids are getting older, but it was also the first year that we didn't need a stroller to drag one of the kids around.
There were a lot of different activities from the corn sandbox to a hayride. The girls both loved feeding the ponies and miniature mules and Urban's favorite part was milking the wooden cow. We miss Linder farms in Boise but Busy Bars was a lot of fun.
