Thanksgiving at Preschool

At the end of every month, Janae's preschool has a "sing" day. All the parents come in, and the kids sing the songs they have learned that month. It's pretty low key - but very entertaining. This time I actually remembered to bring my camera!

Sorry for the shakiness of the video....Kiera kept trying to 'help' me.... Also, I learned the hard way that my camera only shoots video for a certain length of time, then cuts off - oh well, now I know!

Trick or Treat!

We had lots of fun Trick-or-Treating this year. The rain held off, thank goodness, so we were able to enjoy our walk around the block. Even though we just did our neighborhood, Beans ended up with tons of candy. I think it may last her 'till Easter!

As you can see, we had a hard time getting a good pict. of them together!
Checking out her stash.

Janae's Decorations

Janae made lots of Halloween decorations this year. The first three pictures are the decorations she made at school, and the last pict. is a cat she made from a kit that Grandma Sharp sent her. Janae was very proud of her work, and loves showing her off all of her projects !

Carving Pumpkins

I know these are a little late....but at least they're up, right??

The Tuesday before Halloween, we carved our pumpkins. This was Janae's first experience making jack-o-lanterns - she was sooooo excited. I was afraid that she would think it was too icky to pull the guts out, but she surprised me (as usual) and LOVED it. She had a blast sticking her hands in and pulling out the seeds/guts. She thought it looked like grated cheese.
Beans and Uncle Kevin hard at work.
Kiera watching the action, eating some cheerios.
I told Beans to draw a face on her pumpkin so we could cut it out. This is what she drew. Not exactly what I was thinking, but very cute!
The finished products. Kevin did the Mickey Mouse head (he started with more elaborate plans, but realized it would take him forever, so he just went for the easy MM head) The smallest one is the pumpkin Beans drew the face on.
