End of june, a new beggining.

I've been away for a couple of months. This long break has been good as I found new goals in life. Responsibilities? Running away? Hmm. Time will tell everything. This post is not getting anywhere. Shall stop here.

appreciation, gratitude.

Glad that competition's over. March has been a beee-zy month! Camps, work, studies etc. Well, it's all over. Now its the time to reflect on the things that we have done, how can we improve on it and make it better.

I've been working for the past few weeks at the airport terminal 3.. Nice experience though. It's been nice serving customers, knowing more friends, getting in 'touch' with gossips at work. I've got 2 more weeks to go. All the way! The process may be tiring but the reward that comes at the end spurs you on to work even harder. =P Cos its pay day!! I'm soooo gonna get an iPhone. Inspired by the video that is posted on Apple's website. It displays a wide array of functions that is simply...... AMAZING! :D

Okay.. Shall get to the main point. Today's post is titled: Appreciation, gratitude.
Competition has just ended. We started training very late this year and also made a major decision for this year's competition. I'm glad that TICs supported our idea and made this competition possible.

Comp 2010 has been like a roller coaster ride, there were ups and down in the process of it. We managed to hold on to it tightly and not let things go out of hand. I want to thank all instructors and TICs for making the effort to head down to trainings and camp to train these bunch of kids. Really a big THANK YOU to all!

Happy lunar new year to all out there! Hope you've enjoyed the long long break. CNY this year has been a BLAST and fulfilling one. Was happy that we were able to visit many relatives which makes it a bonus for this year's CNY.

On the other hand, my cousin's dog passed on on the eve of CNY. yeah. That's the lost.. They loved the dog sooooo much.. I wondered if I ever had a pet, it would really be traumatising for me if he/she ever pass on..

Good old days~

Back from meeting Huimei, xueling, Iris and Kenneth. Went for dinner @ Astons Cathay this evening with these crazy people. We chatted for an hour or so and soon after, we realised that there is actually a long queue outside the restaurant. So the next stop was some Beancurd stall at Little road? Thumbs up for the dough fritters and 'tau-huay'! hahaha Went for a little shopping session at Bugis before training home.

Anyway, school's pretty hectic. Meeting deadlines and deadlines for projects. I think that for the next few weeks it'll be full of projects submission for all students. Project is like a never ending thing. Lots to do and lots of time is needed for it. Sigh. Guess poly life is all about projects and meeting deadlines.

The annual open house seems to be quite a huge event for schools as lots of preparation work is pumped in so as to attract future students to join the school. The ironic thing for me is that, I've never attended TP's open house when I was choosing my course/school and presently, I am studying in TP! It's cos I never really took notice of TP. Only visited it once or twice when I was still in secondary school for SJAB meetings. Weird.

And ya, before meeting the rest this evening, lunch was settled at PastaMania with Nani, Ben, Yuda, Taming and Zhongwei. The original plan was to meet Hawa for lunch @ SP but it was called off cos she is having her driving lesson in the afternoon. (We'll definitely meet up yeah?!) So, I went shopping with Nani around TM and CS. Went to Artbox(Is this how you spell it?) and got a monthly planner cos earlier on, Jasmine inspired me to get it. Hers was simple and nice!

Okay, shall stop here. Gonna go to my lala land soon cos this week has been a long week.

Change

Change for the better.

Friends, if I ever stood up or you, make empty promises, hurt you or whatever. I'm truly sorry. I will change (One of my new year resolutions) for the better. I'll turn up for gatherings, activities cos I realised that at times, I have too much to juggle. Really. Too many commitments which makes me feel tired to move on.
Thank you all for tolerating my crazy behaviour. Thank you all for everything.

I wanna thank my dad and mom for their efforts that is put into this family. No words can ever describe how hard they've worked. Really.

Hey all~

Shall do a little update. I'm back in SG since 2 days ago.

Thailand was great! I always realise a lot of things when I visit my mother's hometown. It's like many different things like from a human character, culture all the way till objects that made me realise how fortunate we are in Singapore. Anyway, there is a lot of shopping done, food,visitation of relatives, lots of giving etc.

Celebrated Christmas @ Thailand. Loved the cold weather although there isn't snow. It was a heart warming Christmas cos we did gifts exchange with the kids there and there's even a cake! The moment I got to know that there is actually a gift exchange activity, I immediately rode the bike to the nearest store and got some stationary and wrapping paper cos I didn't prepare any presents for them. Little did I know, the boy whom got my gift actually cried! He wanted snacks sooooo badly. I felt really bad at that time so I compensated with an additional packet of soybean milk and a pair of slippers. Hahaha. He is actually my Mother's Cousin's Kid. Will post up some pictures when I have the chance..

Alright, its new year's eve today. Looking back, year 2009 has been a year of major changes in my life. I moved onto poly, went for OTC, lots of depressed moments, weight loss (Its gained back now all thanks to my thyroid disease), had my first JNCO course, celebrated my 18th birthday with my friends at home while my mother cooked steamboat etc.

Lots to remember for my year 2009.

Should be going to my cousin's place for a BBQ plus K session. My mom's also having a countdown party at home. There's lots of food. hahaha.

Lastly, may the year 2010 be a better year for all of you guys out there!

Hey guys! I am surprised that I'm able to access the internet in this little hometown of my mother. Cos I've always thought that life here is simple and with the slow pace of living, computers would take donkey years to arrive here. Seems like I'm wrong.. Maybe its time for people to move on. Glad to see that the kids here do know how to use computers and they ae given a chance to play computers here. Although not every house has a computer, with just 5 baht, you're able to use it for an hour.

Alright, gonna stop here. Going shopping later. Hopefully.

I really wonder if I'm able to finish the assignments that I want to finish during the holidays. Hmm.

I haven't been doing the planned stuffs on my to-do list. Procrastinate and procrastinate. Sigh.

Anyways, I've just gotten back from E Hub. Advance birthday celebration for Meifang along with her Sister and Cousin. Thanks girls for the treat! hahaha. Earlier on, I also went for the Singapore 2010 YOG interview for the role of a liaising officer for the media. I wonder if I'm selected or not.

Looking forward to the picnic at Marina Barrage tomorrow.

SNCO 2009 & Dogs frenzy

Hey guys!

Attended SNCO camp. Lots of good memories to be kept.

This is my first time going to SNCO as an instructor
This is my first time camping in HQ (Great!)
This is my first time eating ration food like bread, tuna, fish luncheon, instant noodles, hotdogs, fishball etc. throughout the WHOLE camp days.
This is my first time going around the island with just 2 trainees.
This is my first time dozing off in a hut @ Pulau Ubin.
This is my first time stepping on a garbage filled beach. Or rather, coastal area.
etc etc etc.

Lots of first time. Lots of new experiences.

I don't really have lots of photos with me. Shall upload those pictures taken using my C.M.I camera phone.

I wonder how's the route march at the end of the day. hmm.

And yea. Before I move on, I will like to thank Matthias for his help when I am not there with the section. Thanks man!

Loved the movie. Cause you know why? Stefanie Sun sung in the movie! Yea. I guess that's the only thing that caught my attention. The movie was great overall. I wouldn't mind watching it again. I felt soooooo relax after the movie. I guess this is how life works, you work hard and you play hard.

Okay, shall go do some revision for the upcoming killer week! Imagine you having tests for 5 days in a row next week. Can I just surrender man?!

M'sia KL trip

In just a few hours time, will be going out of town to somewhere in M'sia. I guess this trip is to replace the trip that I've missed in June where Mom, Dad, Brothers and my beloved cousin went. You mut be wondering why did I miss the trip? Its a normal school day. Therefore, dont really have a choice. :)

My younger brother suggested that we shall not sleep for now and "ton" till the morning. Crazy boy.

Anyway, I wanna congratulate Mr Yeong and Ms Quek as they are getting married on the 21st November 20099Tomorrow? Today? hmm. :). It's a pity cos I am unable to attend their church wedding. Nevertheless, I wanna wish both Mr Benjamin Yeong and Ms Bel Quek a blissful marriage!

P/S Congrats to Siowmin for being a "successful" House Maker! I can't possibly name her as house wife. Cos she is not married! Happy cleaning the house. I believe with a Duck's feature, you're definitely asble to accomplish this task!

Hey guys!

Received several calls from the clinic this afternoon. Didn't manage to pick it up cos I was having my System Analysis interview. It ended pretty fast. As I was unable the pick up the call, doctor left me a message and it goes like that, "This is Dr Chiang from clinic(XYZEKJFKEDL[Day Spring]). Your thyroid test results are back and the hormones are very high. I got a shock the moment he sent me this message cos there wasn't any further elaboration and all he did was to ask me to call him back. Fortunately there isn't any surgery involved.

Anyway, I am home alone in the afternoon till night. Everyone went out except for me. The feeling was great! The only thing that I did not really like was that I slept for the whole 3 hours. Gosh. hahaha And ya. Cousins say that they're visiting my house on this coming Saturday. The reason is to celebrate the end of Os!

P/S Twilight was great! Nani, If you ever read this, I'm sorry about just now. Lastly, BIBI Fasihah binte umar(The cute one) is the 1st one who wished me a happy birthday!(Although its pretty in advance. But, thanks! Really appreciated it! :D

Unexpected..

Went to the doctor today. Wanted to take the H1N1 vaccine. Out of curiosity,I went to ask the doctor why do my hands tremble so often. So, I found out that my thyroid hormones are too active causing me to have some hyperthyroid..(something something)(i dont know what do we call it) disease. Some signs and symptoms can be weight loss, trembling of hands, rapid heartbeat, mild swelling of the thyroid glands etc.

Took a blood test. Hope everything will be alright.(Hopefully there won't be any surgery involved. Fear of pain! :D) The doctor reassured me that it will be alright. Guess, everything will be alright cos I don't want to scare my mother. (Ever since my elder brother had fits,she has been sooooooo worried!)

Alright, this post is dedicated to the security personnel in Tp's library for their hard work in ensuring that students tap their matric card. Kudos to them!!(They are like soooo irritating! Esp the oldbie) I am in the library now using the desk top while the guys are figuring out on how to print our lecture note @ the work desk. I guess they have been doing it for the past 25 minutes? It is sure a tough nut to crack.

Everyone has got something to look forward to in life. I am soooooooo looking forward to the year end overseas trips [Msia+Thailand(Phayao)], chalet, meetups, airport, aeroplane, whatever. I guess it's gonna rawk my socks!

National Day

Hello all!

It's national day today. I've always loved Singapore. hahaha Anyway, like Huiting said, without Singapore, where will we be? and without my parents, where will I be? uh. whatever.

It's our nation's 44th birthday! Hmm. Wondered how I spent it last year? hmm. Actually, I don't really remember. :)

Hmm yah. The most memorable 1 was @ Padang I guess. Where we had to open up the umbrella for some world record? How are you guys celebrating? Some skipped town and headed to somewhere out enjoying the long long weekend.
I guess I am going to stay at home and slack or something? National day what! Must relax and moreover, its after web design project. Talking about project, CTOS, WDS is cleared. Now, I am left with CommSkills presentation and I also had this Summative test for commskills today.

2 more major exams to go. Econs and Bus Acct. Man. I smell freedom. C'mon, friends. Lets meet up after 25 Aug!

It's been long.

I've stopped blogging for a long long long time. For the benefit of ppl who reads my blog, I shall blog. hahaha

Anyway, I happened to read some of my previous year's blog post. Gosh, you can see how someone can change with time. Unlike the old me who types differently and also think differently. When I was young, I posted blog posts of my daily life. Like going to TM with my friends etc. However, now its different. I do not blog about what have I did for the past few days. Different. haha.

Anyway, school is really crushing ME down. It's ending soon. Hopefully.. Anyway, I have not really blog about what school am I in now, what course etc.I am in Temasek Polytechnic now. Pleasant day today except for the headaches that is bothering me. I went out with my brother and cousin today. Stop 1: Popular sales @ expo + John little sales. Didn't really buy a lot of things there. Nothing much for me to shop also. I soooo wannna get a backpack! arghhhhhh. Man! I must really restrict myself from buying things. hahaha. Went to Tampines 201 after that cos Cuz wanna get a pair of glasses but we failed to get 1 at the end. Stop 2: Random shopping at Tampines mall.
Guess what? On the way back home, we happen to drop by a spectacle shop and she caught her eyes on a pair of glasses. Within like 15 minutes or so? She bought her specs. That's like a fast decision! hahaha. Anyway, skip that part. Home and then dinner.

Now, sitting comfortably on my chair blogging. There are many things that I want to do in this break! hahaha. Maybe I should sit down and jot down a "To-do" list so that I'll be focus. blablabla.

Oh yah. I went for OTC's course briefing with jasmine yesterday. It was dragged by 15 minutes or so? Went back home with my head going bonkers or in another sense, exploding.. The initial plan was to meet up with Meifang and Siowmin for a shopping trip down @ bugis. I ended up meeting with Siowmin for dinner @ Ajisen! It was great catching up with each other's life. Really, truly. hahaha.

Alright I'll post up the upcoming outings/events so you guys will know what am I doing! hahaha

Random thoughts always come into my mind when I am alone. I don't know why, every morning when I wake up, getting prepared for school I would always have this fear in mind. It has been happening for the past few weeks already. I would dread going to school. Ohmy, how can I lift this feeling on "blue" away. Blues go away!

Anyway, had a studying session with Hawa yesterday night. Hah. It was fun! Thank you Hawa! Later in the night, went over to somewhere near EV where I passed my Mp3 to SiowMin. Man.. She must be enjoying her company chalet! hahaha

Head over to Meifang's house yesterday night. Happen to met Siewmin at the bustop as she was on her way home. =D
We began surfing the net as soon as I reached there. The initial plan was to do the web design project.. In the end, at around 12 plus, both of us surrendered and went to sleep. hahahaha. Saturday wasnt that productive cos I didnt have the drive to study and do my projects. Mid term tests are coming. how how how? Let's pray that this little pea brain of mine is able to make the impossible, possible.

Anyway, SA1 is over, back to the hectic SJAB life. Yesterday was the Change Of Command Ceremony(COC), it was pretty well planned. Kudos to all who planned it! =D It marks the historial moment of the handing over of the corps OIC duty to the newly appointed OIC. Let's hope that things will go well for the corps in the future years. Let's work hard together!

I havnt been blogging for a long long time thus this post is a little random. Life in school is getting better. I'm starting to enjoy macro economics, business accounting. However, web design is still a pain in the ass. hahaha Now, I realise something, life isnt that smooth sailing for all. At a certain phase in your life, there are bound to be challenges that will bring you down. I MUST get use to polytechnic lifestyle if not I'll suffer there.

Motivation

What's your motivation in life? I've lost mine. totally.

gosh. It is only the 1st week of school and I am feeling so lost. Attended BIT's orientation today. Truck loads of matters ran through my mind. Pondering and pondering. Have I chosen the correct course?? I thought I was interested in business? But why? Where's the drive to learn, to study?? I really cannot find mine.

Unlike the past, where I am striving my best to manage my studies well and motivating myself with a goal in mind: To get into a poly.

Is it because of the new system that a poly has? New friends? New life??

I really don't know..

1ST day of school

It was a long day. But I've got only 4 hours of lessons. CTOS-Computer technology and office systems & Communication Skills 1. We basically learned about MS excel in CTOS- Lots of functions etc etc. I guess I gotta practice more so I'll be prepared for lessons. hmm, communication skills 1 was more like an English class. What is the importance of writing, consistency and connectedness in writing. etc etc.

I was late for school today!! In the future, I should really leave house early to beat the morning traffic. Poor Nani who arrived early had to wait for me. hahaha
Anyway, Nani and I managed to explore the library today. Enjoyable break session. cos we had about 2 and the half hours for break. We also explored the book shop today and I managed to get some stationaries. haha.

On a side note, I am still not close to my classmates. haha. Hmm, hopefully with more bonding sessions, life in school gets better.

Regrets in life..

School

It's the first day of TP business School's freshmen orientation. Things went smoothly I guess, although there were awkward moments. The Synergy leaders(sort of like PSL) were really enthusiastic and brought the atmosphere up. But still, being in a unfamiliar place with unfamiliar faces, my classmates and I were certainly quiet till the max.

I had the urge to go google on "How to socialise?". Seriously, I dont know whether its lazy to make new friends or anything. I dont really have friends! hahaha. Anyway, lets see how it goes!

Looking forward to a brand new day tomorrow. Hopefully I will have new friends. hahaha.

Oh, for the past week, I've been working @ MUJI warehse located @ AIS building(correct me if I am wrong.hahaha). Actually, its only 4 days. Met new friends (Delicia & Si Min).. We really clicked very well! hahaha.

Well, I think that I should blog more often as its the main portal for me to write and express my thoughts. (For now before school starts) I got to admit that the standard of my English have dropped drastically for both writing and speaking. heh. Who says that after the O levels we should forget our language? haha. hmm.

Things that are happening in my life.. jobless for now, slacking at home almost every other day living off my parents. Oh, and also going for SJAB for the past few months. This is just life. =D

It's sunday today 清明节, clear brightness festival?? Went all the way to choa chu kang(sp?) for tomb sweeping and also food offerings for grandma. It was a good day though, cool weather, traffic was good, no congestion. It ended before 1. tampines-->choa chu kang-->Toa Payoh-->changi(somewhere near there)--> Tampines. It was a loong long day..

I am currently watching a korean drama called "Boys before flowers" somewhat similar to Taiwan's version of Meteor Garden 流星花園. Similar plot, about 4 rich boys bla bla bla.

Competition 2009

Competition camp has just passed. Now its the real deal. Competition is just tomorrow. Have faith & trust in them. Go NC2! I have seen the effort that you guys have put in for the past 3 months. Realize your dreams and goals! It's the last lap so please do not let anyone of us down. Do us proud and most importantly do yourselves proud!

Updates cum CCA fair

Ok.. The O level results came out on the 12th of jan. Gosh, its getting earlier and earlier. I did not score very well however, I am glad that I am able to enter majority of the courses despite the lowwwwww cut off point. (Booo!) FYI: L1R4 17(Deduct CCA 15), L1R5 20. (See! CCA is good!)
hahaha.

The process of choosing the courses was hell! Many uncertainties, many opinions and also the fear of choosing the wrong course. The comments given by many certainly sway one's mind into making such an important decision. I wished that more time is given to students for the choosing of courses. However, I still had to make the choice today(Today's the last day). I will like to thank many for your comments and also time for answering my questions!
Especially to Mrs Moraes, Mrs Tan, Mdm XJ, Sir Daryl and many more who helped me!

So for now, I shall wait for the results to be out and grab what ever choice is given to me.

Okay, put the JAE aside. Today's CCA fair was a success! The concept this year is more into introducing SJAB to the students in EVSS. However, it seems like the recruitment drive is up and many CCAs are busy screaming and shouting to attract more students. Dang, it was simply chaotic! The performance was good! The ambulance that Sir JW drove attracted lots of attention. hahaha.

I am happy that many instructors came down to help out. Especially Sir YZ(who stayed through for many days), Mdm XJ, Kenneth, Iris and those whom have helped in any way. =D

Good bye 2008. Hello 2009.

Happy new year friends!

The year 2oo8 was a year with ups and down. We've experienced some of the important events and also disasters. Let me refresh my memory. ha ha.

I went back to EVSS to continue my secondary 5 education.
My form teachers was Ms Tasneem and Mr Yeong.
I attended school everyday except weekends.
I was posted to standard 1 platoon, Alpha. APC.
I took my O Levels examination and it ended on 11 November 2008.
I changed my mobile phone to Samsung Soul.
I had ideas to revamp my room but till now, nothing is done.
I had an enjoyable birthday celebration with my friends.
I went on a trip to Thailand from 11 to 20 december and I did a lot of catching up with my relatives and also sight seeing. (I never knew that Thailand was that fun)
I missed the Thai fried rice.
I went on a day camp for SJAB from the 27 to 30 December. Lots of late nights. It was enjoyable and successful as I have learnt a lot from my seniors.

Went through the Olympics 2008 in Beijing. It was simply spectacular!
I feel sorry for the victims of the Sichuan Earth Quake that "shook" the world too.

Ok, I think thats it. The things that I could remember from 2008. I believe there is more. Now, Its already year 2009.
I hope that my family and friends would stay healthy always.
I hope to be a better person in terms of character.
I hope to gain more knowledge.
I hope to clear up my room within a month.
I hope to catch up with people that I missed.
I hope for the best in whatever that I do.

It's over.

Hellooooooooo people! I was intending to blog yesterday but I simply forgot due the the arrival of MIOOOOOO TVVVVVVV yesterday morning. It just felt like I have a new television as there are sooooooo many channels and also movies that is available for me to watch. Thus I became a couch potato yesterday night. Hm Hm Hm... Okay, put that aside as it is just some daily rants. haha.

I had a rather "fruitful" day yesterday as I FINALLY FOUND A PART TIME JOB!!!!! uh. for 4 days. Its..... better than nothing right? I will be working at Sitex fair from the 27th of November to 30th of November. Location will be Expo(Changi) Hall 6. Do drop by!

Oh, I wanna thank friends who celebrated my birthday for me. Thank you all for the wishes, the gifts and also the "mud bath". Ha! I also want to thank my family especially my mom. =D

Okay, exams are over and lets embrace the beauty of holidays! Weeeeee~

Hello people!

As stated in the previous post, I will be posting the exam time table. K, Before i post it up, I shall talk about today's paper. I had my chemistry paper today. I guess it was do-able except for some challenging questions. Hmm, I guess its really weird to place some of the students in class while the rest are at the school hall. The intense feelings while in the hall and class is totally different. It feels like its not the O levels but its just a normal school paper. Ha!

Exams aside, I am hoping to find a part time job after Os so as to earn some cash for my upcoming trip to Thailand. Any job recommendations? :]

Exams

Well, major exams are approaching. The Big big Os is my main concern now. I did badly for my prelim examinations due to all the last minute studying. (I know am I am at fault) Dahhhh. Gosh, my first written paper is on the 20/10/2008. Chemistry paper. Hopefully all goes well during this critical period of time as I will be having coaching in school. Anyway, I feel that I am a little insane in class for the past few weeks. Making noises, irritate people, etc. Man! Must be the stress that is troubling me. hahaha Or is it an excuse? No idea. Might be heading to the airport for a study session with Hawa and Fasihah tomorrow. She suggested going there at 6 am. Gosh. haha I know its random. Study hard peeps! Its the final lap, there is no harm doing all you can to fulfil your dreams and achieve the results you want. Afterall, you're doing it for yourself right?
Sooooooooo, before ending this post, I guess maybe in my next post, I'll post up the schedule or something? haha Better than nothing right?

National Day '08 School Celebration

Heritage Fest 2008 Expedition H

A quick update. This post is on the trip to 3 different places, Fort Canning Park, The penny black London Victorian Pub and The Fullerton Hotel. Went for this programme under Heritage Fest 2008 Expedition H: You've got Mail. It was truly an enriching course due to the good explanation by Razeen, our tour Guide. Kudos to him! He made the trip interesting with the information he shared with us with regards to the history of Singapore and also interesting facts about Mails. Heh. I guess this trip was worthwhile with the good company I had and I would certainly look forward to this kind of trips in the future.

Oh if you're wondering why did we take a group photo with 2 special guests of the night, they are Mr Ronny Tan, the Great-great grandson of the late Mr Tan Tock Seng(If you know where Tan tock seng hospital is, yea, thats his Great (times 2) grandson) and also the former General post master of the Post office during the British colony.
