He calls me friend

odb.org (Today's readings: John 15:9-17) Someone has defined friendship as “knowing the heart of another and sharing one’s heart with another.” We share our hearts with those we trust, and trust those who care about us. We confide in our friends because we have confidence that they will use the information to help us, not harm us. They in turn confide in us for the same reason. We often refer to Jesus as our friend because we know that He wants what is best for us. We confide in Him because we trust Him. But have you ever considered that Jesus confides in His people? Jesus began calling His disciples friends rather than servants because He had entrusted them with everything He had heard from His Father ( John 15:15 ). Jesus trusted the disciples to use the information for the good of His Father’s kingdom. Although we know that Jesus is our friend, can we say that we are His friends? Do we listen to Him? Or do we only want Him to listen to us? Do we want to know what’s on His heart?...

my problem is not having a problem?

I like to listen when people tell me about their problems. I like to share their load and pray with them. I like it when they are comfortable sharing with me. But one thing always bothers me is that when they ask "How about you? Do you have anything going on?" I'm not trying to be too perfect and it's not that I do not want to share. But I can't find anything to share. What can I say? What should I say? My work? yea, it's going fine. My relationship? Mmm, nothing much. My studies? So far it's good cos its summer. If it's during regular semester, I can grumble a lil and say I need your prayers for my test coming up, and it's really hard. (seriously, this is the only topic that I have stuff to share with my friends. Not much though. I can't be complaining about how hard it is everytime I see them. so the conversation shortens to... 'yea, it's really hard, and i'm having this deadline for assignments, but I'm praying and hopefully...

The Hidden Storyteller

I started out writing this as a response to the comments from my previous post, but it somehow got so long that I've decided to make it a new post on its own. Speaking about writing narrative stories... actually I have always liked writing narrative stories.(i find literature interesting too! that's why i like reading and watching movies of classic stories like Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre...) I figured out that I have a hidden crush on writing during secondary school, but there's not really room for me to expand. since: 1) i'm not the Best when it comes to languages *ahem 2) I'm somehow made to believe that I should go into science (don't know how, don't know when) 3) back in secondary school, i'm too busy for school work, can't afford to waste time for personal leisure (like writing stories,drawing...) needless to say, the passion faded when i entered National Service and later on into INTI where I'm told to study Science (Physics) (belie...

June 30th

LOL. seriously? I got an A for my texas government politics class O.O (90.46%) Hahahahha! This is totally unbelievable for me! Looking at the powerpoint slides while doing sit-ups, flipping through the textbook chapters while watching korean drama, finding answers from google during the quiz and test (Ops! but it's an online course, they should've known better that students will do that. recalling the course syllabus, they didnt' forbid us from doing that though) reading through my friend's past year exams Arh?? well, firstly, Praise God for it! I said a short prayer whenever I press the 'begin' button for my quiz/test "God, help me please." Lol. so, really thank God for it. and plus the fact that i'm taking it from a community college! lol. yea, that's the major reason. Comparing the standard of the test and course with the US government politics that I took last year, this is really peanut level :/ Before this,I was actually thinking th...
