Beckham's Special Day

Today we blessed Beckham. We did it at our house, which I surprisingly really liked. It is not like me to go out of the norm and do traditional things different. My parents and my grandma came out from California which was a nice treat. Also with them were my nieces and nephews Braden, Brynn, Zachary, and Emma. Then all of Todd's siblings came, my brother Sean, and Todd's grandparents. Todd did an amazing job and said some very special things. Following the blessing we had lunch for everyone. It really was a very special day and I loved every second of it.

2nd {Annual} Girls Weekend

Last year we started our tradition in Newport Beach, and this year we kept up the tradition in Scottsdale. We missed my 2 sister-in-laws Dori and Heather, but we gained a new member, my cousin Amie, and 2 new little members Beckham and Bailey.

We started the weekend off on Thursday night at Amie's house with a delish homemade meal and talked and watched our favorite tv shows. Then Friday we went to Paradise for lunch and shopped at San Tan mall, then headed up to Scottsdale to our hotel. We had dinner at Kona Grill and then shopped a little at Scottsdale mall. Then of course we came back to the hotel and squeezed in some Nertz games before bed. Then Saturday we went to the pool for the most perfect weather EVER and layed out for a good 4 hours. That was pure bliss! Then we all get pedicures, then headed to dinner at AZ-88 which is my new favorite restaurant. Then of course we came back and played more nertz and topped it off with 8 different kinds of Sprinkles cupcakes.

It was such a fun weekend. My favorites consisted of.....my many voices and characters that for some reason came out, good sisterly bickering, nertz, Baby Mama, 2 newborn babies waking up in the middle of the night...numerous times, shopping at F21, watching 2 drunk guys at the pool play baseball in woman's underwear making fools of themselves, hearing everyone slip some bad words, great food, surprisingly really great pedicures, 'posing' for our pictures at the pool, talking about our husbands [in a good way :)], and enjoying each others company.

Rocky Point [mexico]

This last weekend we went to Rocky Point with our friends Scott and Rachael. We really had a great time, and wish that we could have stayed longer. Berkeley was in heaven playing with Duke constantly. I have not seen her that active in a long time! They were the best kids ever on Saturday...they swam from literally 9:30 to 3:30. They each had their own tube and were happy all day long. Beckham was a gem. He ate, slept, and sat in his car seat perfectly, and was a happy little newborn. We stayed in such a nice place it didn't even feel like we were in Mexico! We had such a great time and had really great company as well!

My little Beckham is now 2 weeks old, and I really can say that I am enjoying it SO much. I truly love the newborn stage. I love their smell, I love how simple their life is, and I love that they completely depend on their mother for their livelihood. I am not overwhelmed yet with having 2 kids. I feel like I can balance the 2 quite easily, but that is also because I have the easiest toddler known to man. I love being a mom, and I love my kids even more. I am so thankful and blessed that I have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and get to enjoy my kids 24 hours a day. I would not ask for any other life. I just have been really grateful for my life lately, and realize how lucky I am. I have a great husband, 2 healthy children, amazing parents and in laws, and great siblings and sibling in laws. Life is truly good for us!
