first grade

Bailey was so excited to start first grade...especially when she found out who her teacher would be! One of the first grade teachers attends our church so Bailey really wanted to be in her class. When we found out that she indeed got Mrs. Lehde, Bailey's response was, "I already knew that." She wanted to be in her class so bad that she never considered that she would get anyone else. Needless to say, we are all looking forward to a great year!

Gymnastics

Bailey completed her gymnastics class at the beginning of August. She went (almost) every Monday this summer. She really enjoyed it because she got to do so much more than she did last year. Now, we're getting ready for Upward Cheerleading this fall!

Galveston

On the morning of Bailey's birthday we headed to Galveston for an overnight trip at the beach! It was so nice to have a little get-away with all four of us. Judd's summer schedule is so busy that we really didn't see get to see him much. This was the last weekend of summer before I had to go back to work and Judd was finished with his summer activities, so we took advantage of it!

We arrived in Galveston around lunch time and went straight to the beach to eat our picnic lunch.

We decided he had had enough so we packed up and went to the hotel to clean up for dinner.

While we were there, we realized that we have come to Galveston every summer for the last three years. I guess it's a tradition that we'll have to continue!

Cupcakes for breakfast!

Bailey's scatterbrained Momma forgot to take candles to her birthday party. Poor thing! I felt horrible! To redeem myself, I made cupcakes the night before her actual birthday and let her eat one for breakfast...after we sang "Happy Birthday" and she blew out her candle!

Bailey's 6th Birthday Party

We celebrated Bailey's 6th birthday iCarly style at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt last weekend. We went as a family once last spring and she has wanted to have a party there ever since!

It was a fun surprise to see Bailey's name on the front window!
