REWIND.... Back to Father's Day

Yes... I know! I am SUPER late!!
Here is a recap from Father's Day weekend, in pictures.

The whole family inside Jack's ball pit tent! I am pretty sure he's showing us where his belly is in this picture.
Diaperhead Jack- He would take it off, bring it to me, and then point to his head. Apparently he liked having it on his head. :)

Since my Daddy and his family are Ranger's fan... and the Suchecki family are Astro's fans, it was only appropriate that we get together and go to a game. It worked out perfectly that they played each other Father's Day weekend. My Daddy and his family and Holly got to come down. It's even better that this was Jack's first Astro's game!
Grandaddy and Jack

Here he is chowing down on goldfish during the game.

Jack and Momma
Can you say worn out!?!?!?!? I think he had fun! :)
On Sunday, John had to work. Jack and I decided to go visit Daddy, so they could see each other on Father's Day! Jack is driving the engine!

Selective Walking

So we've pretty much decided... Jack has selective walking. He can walk... but when he can crawl as fast as he does... what's the point in walking? I was able to catch a video of him walking on my phone the other day. The video is not great, but you can see... he actually can walk. That is... when he wants to. :)

No More Mullet

Today was a big day for Jack. The past couple of months he has been working on an awesome mullet. However, today was the day to put the mullet to rest. As a family we ventured out to "Cool Cuts" for Jack's first hair cut. We had heard good things about that place, so we thought we would give it a try. I am not brave enough to cut Jack's hair on my own. We decided now was the time to get his hair cut because Jack's hair was getting so long. Even his bangs were past his eye lashes. We can only swoop those things over for so long. Here are some pictures from our adventure.
Here is a picture I took of Jack earlier this week. I was trying to get a shot of the mullet.
In the Fire Truck getting ready for his hair cut.
Jack's in charge! He's giving order as the Fire Chief!
He enjoyed the truck for a bit.
He was really into the video they had on (there was a bird in the video). For a few minutes anyways...
Getting started.
Then Momma got too close and Jack maneuvered his way into my arms. So we continued the hair cut this way.
Somebody was getting tired.
Playing with Daddy.
Jack really was a trooper through the whole thing. No tears at all.
Check out our sweet boy Jack!
I'm sure there will be more pictures to come!

It's the Simple Things in Life

Jack just loves to play with boxes. Just a simple box. He will load his toys in them and then unload the box. He will push boxes around. He will pick them up. If it's a Huggies box, he will find the "Jack", also known as a baby, on the box.

Side note: any time he sees a picture of a baby, he says Jack. We realized that the only pictures in our house that Jack can see are pictures of himself. So when he points at them, of course we say, "That's Jack!" He started pointing at the pictures and saying, "Jack" (it sounds more like, "Gack"). Of course we cheered when he said it. Then one day he saw the baby on the huggies box and said, "Jack". OOPS! Now, we are trying to introduce the word "baby".

Now... back to boxes. Jack even loves the dogs' box outside. This kiddo just loves boxes. So why not let him play with them?!?!? Here are pictures of Jack's adventure with boxes!

It's does not matter the size of the box one bit. I might think it's too small, but Jack? NO WAY!!

Dog box... yes... it's gross. But Jack LOVED it!!

Blog Makeover

Ok... so it's not completely made over. BUT... it's a start! It's been too long since I have blogged. I am almost on summer break. But that really won't happen until the beginning of July. But that's ok! I am enjoying the time off with my boys, that I do have in between meetings, conferences, staff development, and teaching summer school.

Stay tuned for updates!
