8 Days

(Not my bouquet, although very pretty)

I am 95% sure that no one is reading my blog, which is a little depressing, but yet I still post (when I have exhausted all other means of procrastinating).
The wedding is 8 days away. Which is so soon, but still forever away. We are so excited. All the little stuff that needs to get done has started to stress me out. The main problem was food/caterer. We figured it out Saturday. At least that is over now. On to the fun stuff like music and pictures and decorations and who will do what and etc. Should be fun though. Hope to see you there!

It's Over!

It is official ... I am a BYU graduate! I graduated last week from BYU from the nursing program. It was a little weird to put on the navy cap and gown and line up in the hallway with all of the other graduates (after walking up to campus in the rain mind you). I felt like it was supposed to feel special, but it was kind of just like any other day. The whole family came to town, including Tyson's parents. It was fun to hang out with everyone and I appreciated everyone coming just for little old me.
While everyone was in town, Kasey threw me a wedding shower. It was a lot of fun. It was good to see everyone. Thankfully I got a lot of stuff that Tyson and I need and will use in the near future. Within that same week Tyson and I addressed, assembled, and sent out all of our wedding invitations. That took forever and I'm glad it is over, now on to reception food!
So now life is mainly 1) Find a job and 2) Plan a wedding, which is surprisingly busy. For example today was, laundry, grocery shopping, faxing, fixing my tap shoes, getting prescriptions, going to a tap class, cleaning my room, and more. I've been applying like crazy, but jobs are scarce. I'm still feeling optimistic about it though. I think I've applied eleven places now and I'm still hunting.
Sorry no pictures this time, I didn't take any, but everyone else did so they should send them to me (hint hint). Until next time!!!

Welp...

So, it's official, I'm engaged! (and have been for almost a month). Tyson came home from North Carolina, which he neglected to tell me, and then surprised me with a proposal. I kind of knew the proposal was coming, seeing that I had already been planning the wedding, but I was SO shocked that he was home.

Since then life has been busy with school and planning. I've done a lot (invitations, receptions place, dress, etc.), but there is still so much left to do. I'm glad Tyson is here to help with everything.
So Graduation is in the air. I still have a lot I need to get done before I'm done, but it's in like less than 3 weeks! Yesterday was the first time when I had any feelings of "Oh, wait, I don't want to leave. I like coming to class with all these girls. I'm not going to see them anymore." At the same time I couldn't be more excited to finally work. Now I just need a job.
I guess I'll have to change this blog to include him now and make it "our" blog ... or not. We'll see.

My Life.

Today was an interesting day, and by interesting I mean kind of bad. So I had class all day and I just wasn't feeling it. I am ready to be out of here. So 8-3 I was up on campus and then finally able to go home. I was so happy to be home. I had to mail a letter so I came in the house, put down all my stuff, grabbed the letter and the mail key and ran out to the mailbox. I put my envelope in the little slot, got the mail, and then headed back to my apartment only to realize I had, out of habit, locked the door when I left. I was stuck outside, luckily I had my cell phone at all. I called my roommate, she was at work until 11pm and had turned off her phone. So I called the management company and asked if there was anything they could do. The lady said "Yup, it looks like we have an extra key, just come down here and get it and bring it back before 5." To which I replied "My car keys are also locked inside the apartment." She said "Ohhhh." Then she put me on hold until she could find out if a maintenance man could bring the key to me. He could, but it would cost me $29.95.
The office isn't too far away (9 and 1/2 blocks) so I decided to walk. The whole trip of walking down there, getting the key, walking back, getting my real keys, driving down there, returning the key, driving back, took about an hour. I didn't have anything else to do though. I got inside and almost immediately fell asleep. A long day + mono + 2 mile walk = very tired.
Although it was an added pest to my day, it seems to be just the kind of thing that would happen to me. Such is my life.
