John Frieda VoxBox
We were super excited for this parcel to show up in the mail from @InfluensterCA and @JohnFriedaCA. I'm sad to say that I got to only try it a few times before my teenage daughter took it all for herself. I must say though that the few times that I got to use it I absolutely LOVED it!!!!! The smell alone would sell me on it. It seriously did wonders for my frizzy curly hair that I like to straighten. It looked good, felt good and smelled amazing. As for the teenager who HATES her curly hair.........SHE LOVE LOVE LOVED IT! She is the hardest child in my house to please and she is already asking to go out and buy more. John Frieda you are my hero!!!! Thank you for making something that makes our hair look awesome!!!! 5 stars in this household for sure!!!! Thank you for that awesome product and we are always grateful to test things out for free in return for our opinion. Go try this out for yourself today!!! Thanks Influenster!!

Hello 2014
So we have kicked the new year off with a good dose of the flu in our house. Cooper really starting showing signs New Years Eve but it's taken him out on day 3 really good. Poor little guy. Blogging has been on my mind lately, since I did none last year. Trying to figure out if it's something I will do this year again or just close this up for good. I guess time will tell......January is going to be a busy but fun month in our house between 3 soccer teams, 2 kids in archery, sparks and 2 different bands.
Must run........hopefully I'll be back.....

Daisy......
I have just not been able to get excited about blogging these past few months. I'm really enjoying our new adventure out west but sometimes writing all about it just makes me sad to be so far away from family. We had a good Halloween in October aside from the nasty flu that struck. Nothing too exciting happened in November and December was Christmas crazies with a new "baby"on top of everyday life, Jeff's busy schedule with work and being called as the new branch president. Lots of change!!
Daisy came into our lives on December 21st as our little foster puppy. She was only 2.4 kg so she was super tiny. The first couple nights were rough as we went through the deworming phase and trying to get into routine and house training. I was ready to go nuts! We couldn't have asked for a sweeter puppy then her. The kids just adored her and she loved the attention and loved to cuddle with them. Her and Scout had a love/hate relationship and she was just too little to play with him unsupervised. She was adopted yesterday and it's been kinda sad for me. In my heart she wasn't right for our family but I still feel like I gave away part of my family.....LOL. She has gone to a home with 3 kids and a farm. I'm sure she will have lots of love and attention. We will cherish the time we had her in our home and all the fun times we had with her. Scout is enjoying being king of the house again....
Daisy out playing catch....
Georgia misses the little lady and is already working on another dog.....
Our fur-baby is getting so big.....he weighs more then Cooper at 5 months

Our new addition.....
I really thought that once we moved and got settled in that I would become a better blogger again. It hasn't happened yet, and maybe it will sooner then later but right now I just find it tough. Things are a little different out here and sometimes I just really miss my family and friends that blogging makes me a little sad. I really miss a few other things from back east but I'm not even going there today.
So incase 5 kids wasn't keeping me busy enough a few people in the house really thought that we needed a pet. They started looking for a kitten after a night out with some friends. Georgia carried their kitten around the WHOLE night......but I made the mistake of saying that IF we were going to get a pet that a dog would be better in the long run. I should have kept my mouth shut!!!
We now have an 8th member to our family......SCOUT.....
He is a shepherd/husky mix.....maybe even more. He is growing like a bad weed and teething horribly but otherwise a pretty good puppy. After 2 nights of getting up we got him a crate and he sleeps in that all night. Thank heavens.....I had babies that slept through the night and I wasn't about to get up with a dog. It's bad enough we had to buy baby gates.
The little kids LOVE him the most.....we may have surprised the bigger kids. Anyone who knows our big kids would maybe understand why. Sarah is doing the best out of them and I think Jacob will be better when we are past the nipping phase. He has good reason to be nervous!!!
Hope to return soon.....

4 down.......1 to go.....
Tonight I thought I should get back on here and do a quick post about our first day back to school. I have lots to blog about but without a computer desk being on the computer too long just gives me aches and pains. We have officially started school in the west. It's really sad not to be at school with all our friends back east and it was sad to know that my kids had no friends going to school today. The girls all seemed to meet some people, hopefully they are nice kids and I'm hoping that Jacob will find a buddy soon. It's tough leaving such amazing friends behind and starting from scratch again. Sarah came home after school and called one of her best friends back home to wish her a happy birthday. They already have a Skype date planned for tomorrow after school.
We look forward to getting into the swing of things here. We are anxious to celebrate Sarah's birthday this weekend and I happily report that after day 1 Georgia was the first one crashed tonight. I'll love it if we can keep that up with her!! Hope everyone has a great 2012-2013 school year!!!

Today's funny.....
We have had our first few overnight shifts this weekend. It's tricky in the hotel when Daddy needs to sleep when the kids are all rested. I think we will manage to survive till we are in the house. Last night I had my little buddy in bed with me, I figured he could stay there until Daddy got in from work. This morning around 7am......3 hours past the time his shift ended Daddy came home to crawl into bed. Cooper was curled up in a ball and we just figured he was sleeping.......until Daddy went to move him and the sheets were tucked in so tight you couldn't get them to budge. Then out of the silence you hear " go sleep in other room".......
Out of the mouth of my 3 year old......love you buddy!

Life on the road......
I was hoping to do an update with pictures but I can't figure out how to get them off their location on the iPad to my post. Any one know how???
We left home on July 28th to drive across country to our "new" home. We made is safely here in 6 days with lots of adventure across the country. We played for the day in Ottawa and it was neat to take the kids to the musuem and parliament hill.
We are on day 12 of hotel living.......and I'm ready for it to be done.....I don't mean to complain about not having the clean or cook but at this point its gotten old and overrated. I miss eating yummy healthy meals and I am sick of paying a fortune to wash our laundry. Another 12 days and I get my furniture etc back and I can't wait.
Our new town is nothing like home.......it's going to be an adjustment for me. The big stores are Walmart, Superstore, Canadian Tire and Staples. Arent you jealous?? We will be doing monthly trips to the city. No good clothes shopping for the kids here which is frustrating too. I'm trying to find the good in it all and I think it will be easier when life is a little more normal. We went to church on Sunday. They might have had 25 people there. So tough for the kids where our ward back home was so big. They are super friendly and welcoming so thats a huge bonus.
I must be off.....on my own to entertain the kids today. Trying to figure out what we will do. Maybe some swimming and a playground adventure. Hope to hear from everyone near and far. I'm missing home a lot but extremely grateful for the blessing of this change in our life and what security it brings for us. Hope to be able to post with some pictures soon, anxious to start renos in the new house. It looks so big compared our old home.
