The Simple Things

Today we went out for a walk to the Dollar Store, so that I could get a few things. All over the store there were balloons, and Daniel kept pointing at them and wanting to touch and play with them. After we checked out, there were more balloons by the register, and he again pointed and wanted them. So, I gave in and bought him a balloon. He held it the whole way home, and has been holding it and walking around the house ever since we got home. I love the little things that make a little boy happy!

Visit with Alan and Dad

About a week after Alan came home from his mission, he and my dad came down here for a visit. Alan was super excited to see Daniel for the 1st time!! They came in on Thursday night (February 10), and left on Sunday afternoon. We spent our time hanging out, going on a few walks around town-and Boyd Lake State Park-making LOTS of good food, and having a lot of fun. I am SO glad that they were able to come and visit, it was great to have visitors! Alan had tons of fun with Daniel, it was fun to see them play together.

Family Trip

We took a trip to California this last week. Jason was on a business trip, and so Daniel and I decided to have our own adventure. The only thing that would have made the trip better would have been if Jason, my dad, and Melissa could have come! These pictures are mostly from The Wild Animal Park in San Diego. We had a lot of fun seeing all of the animals. I have more pictures, but they are on my camera-which is put away in a very good spot and I will hopefully find it soon. Until then here are some pictures from my mom. Daniel and I had a great time with our family, and I am pretty sure they had fun with us (especially Daniel) too!

Go

It has been a long week around here. We have all been sick, but luckily we are all doing much better. We are super excited because my Dad, and my recently returned Missionary Brother Alan and coming for a visit on THURSDAY!! I can't wait to have some visitors and be able to show off our new place.

Yesterday we were getting ready to go, and I said, "Daniel, can you find your coat, we are going to go", he turned around and said "Go" several times, and walked to the door, and tried to open it. He definitely knows what go, and coats mean. He usually wants to go walk around and play outside once we get out the door instead of get into the car, it was pretty cute though.
