Our Flammily

A few Saturday's ago we went to the Morton Pumpkin Festival Parade. Morton is about 15 minutes from here and it is the home of where they make Libby's pumpkin. Each year they have a pumpkin festival, and we were able to go and enjoy the parade! Daniel LOVED everything about it! I think his favorite thing was the trucks and police cars. He would go and grab one piece of candy and get SO excited over just one piece! He got a balloon, a ball, and a frisbee specially given to him from those walking in the parade-so that was cool. It was really fun just to watch him have so much fun. We will definitely take him to a parade again!

While we were at Cheryl's we were able to overlap our trip with my Mom's for 1 day. Daniel sure had fun with her, and I am so glad that we got to see her! Although both my mom and Daniel had fun together, I am not sure who had more fun?

This last weekend, we went camping at Comlora Park which is about 40 minutes south of here. We had a great time outside, and hanging out together. We stayed for two nights and both nights were cold-but not too cold, so it was fine. We went on a walk/hike, and we also went canoeing. Jason and I loved the canoeing, and Daniel did ok. He was a little tired and so it was hard to keep him sitting down and still. The family, the fire, the outside, the water, the tent, the food, and everything else made for a great camping trip!


Daniel LOVED his hot dog, he didn't last too long cooking it, but he ate it so fast! I have never seen him eat a hot dog so quickly. He at almost 2, which really surprised me. I guess he didn't get enough lunch :).

Daniel loves his cars! He really enjoys sitting at the kitchen table and pushing them back and forth. It works really well when he plays while I am making dinner or cleaning up.

A couple of weeks ago, Daniel helped me make brownies, and he sure had fun stirring and tasting. He really wasn't a whole lot of help :), but it was fun to do it together!

As a lot of you know, my sister Cheryl had her baby 2 weeks ago. They named him Cade Thomas Morris. They live in Horn Lake, Mississippi which is about 7 hours south of us in Illinois, so Daniel and I are able to be here for a bit to help out and have fun. Unfortunately we had to leave Jason home to work. Daniel loves the baby and he loves to hold him and share his toys. We are having a lot of fun hanging out with them and being able to spend time with them. It sure makes me sometimes excited and sometimes not for our baby to come. Either way we are about 2 months away!!
