Since Mike, Jen, and Emily were coming to AZ it was the perfect time for a family reunion. All of Jonathan's siblings were in
Eagar together. It was a lot of fun.
First I have to tell the story of our drive to
Eagar. We decided to leave late Thursday night because I had enrichment and we thought it would be nice for
Raylin to sleep the whole time. We left about 9 PM and decided to drive to
Payson instead of Globe (the way we normally go). As soon as we got into
Payson Raylin woke up and decided to stay awake the rest of the way. At some point between
Payson and Show Low I decided to put a movie on for her to watch. It was dark and the road was empty. Jonathan looked in the rear view mirror at
Raylin. I looked up, saw an elk told Jonathan. He started to break,
swerved a little to the right and hit the rear end of that lazy elk standing in the middle of the road. We were all
ok.
Raylin was a little mad because the laptop closed and turned off her movie. We got out and saw that the whole left side corner of our car was gone, including the side mirror. A man in a big work truck pulled over and helped us cut more of our bumper off so that we could drive the rest of the way. The elk was nowhere to be seen. We were blessed that we were all
ok and were able to drive the rest of the way. It was pretty scary, but it didn't ruin any of our fun. I was sad that we didn't take a picture though.

The girls loved the tree swing. That is one huge tree.

They also had some fun times on the trampoline. Emily is sitting because they just played ring around the
rosie.

One day we went to Big Lake for
canoeing. Matthew and Jonathan took out the boat. It was funny to watch because they kept going in circles.

Dave and Lucy getting ready to go out for a ride.

By the time it was
Raylin's turn she was hungry and therefore grouchy. Plus, she did not like that life jacket. Poor little girl.

Jodi was nice enough to sit with
Raylin in the canoe. I just feel bad because she screamed for most of it.

She looks pretty content in this picture, but I promise she screamed the whole time.
Raylin really wanted a ride on the swing, so Uncle Daniel gave her one.

Saturday night we did family pictures. I should get out the CD Jonathan's parents sent us and post those pictures, but I don't want to look for it right now, so here are a few from our camera.

I didn't know we were going to be doing family pictures until right before we left on the trip, so we weren't that prepared. Hopefully we will get some good family pictures of the three of us soon.
Raylin is growing so fast.

Jonathan had to take a picture of our set up. We camped out in the backyard. Matthew and Kathryn slept in the first tent, Jonathan and I were in the second one, and
Raylin had her own tent.

Here is where Dave, Jodi, and Lucy slept; and Mike, Jen, and Emily slept. Fun memories.
