I've been a total blog slacker. Time has just cruised on by! So, quick highlights since I've been away....oh geez looks like I missed pretty much the whole dang year of 2012! Here goes...
January 2012
Enjoyed the annual Christmas tree fire.
February 2012
Joe and I raced our motorcycles in the amateur class Rhino Rally Desert Race. It was probably the most physically exhausting thing I had ever done. (And yes, I'm including child birth with no pain meds) 100 miles of the most challenging trails I had ever ridden. Neither of us brought home anything but a dang good story to tell. I'm thinking I will down grade myself back to novice next time. 50 miles is a lot easier. We shall see.

My oldest daughter Averee turned 9.
April 2012
Had a fun Easter and enjoyed spring break vacation camping and riding at Green River.
I started co-ed softball on Friday nights. Thank you to my wonderful hubby for putting up with my sports addiction. At that time I was playing volleyball on Tuesday and Thursday nights, basketball on Wednesday nights and softball on Friday nights.
May 2012
Celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a day of motorcycling in the cherry creek mountains and going to dinner.m
I went to a specialist for the stomach pains I'd been having for months on Thursday the 17th. Ended up at the hospital having my gallbladder removed the next morning on Friday the 18th. It was a very easy recovery and I was doing yard work on Monday and back playing volleyball on Tuesday.
We celebrated Clara's 6th birthday on the 22nd.
Went camping out west to Callao over Memorial Day weekend.
June 2012
The big kids were all playing ball. Averee playing machine pitch softball, Hyrum playing machine pitch baseball and Clara playing tee- ball.
I kept busy with caring for my garden and yard and running the kids around to their summer activities while Joe kept busy with traveling for work.
Joe turned 34 on the 21st.
I entered my Suburban in the Spanish Fork truck pulls and took 1st place.
July 2012
Went camping to Fishlake over the 4th.
Went camping to Lake Powell at the end of July.
August 2012
School started.
Harvested my garden
Started fall coed softball
Ran my first 5k. I usually only like to run if there is a ball involved but my friend talked me into it.
September 2012
I turned 31.
Registered for The Park City Pink Half Marathon. The thought of training to run 13.1 miles when I had only run a 5k was daunting. Especially with only 6 weeks to train.
Ran the Dirty Dash 10k. So much dirty fun. Decided it would help me work up to my marathon.
Emmett turned 4.
Found out I was pregnant with baby #6! Due June 5th 2013.
October 2012
Ran my first half marathon at 5 and a half weeks pregnant and dealing with morning sickness. Ran it in 2 hours and 45 minutes. Dealt with freezing cold temps, icy rain, a twisted ankle and a strained hip flexer. It was brutal and such a fulfilling moment in my life.
Went on the deer hunt. Hyrum turned the big 8 during that trip. Joe had the tag this year and I helped him track down a spike to shoot. Good times.
Kids had a fun Halloween.
November 2012
Hyrum was baptized and confirmed by his dad. It was a special day.
We had thanksgiving dinner with my inlaws.
Went on the Christmas tree hunt. Found the perfect tree after a bit of hiking.
December 2012
Fielding turned 2.
Finally announced that we were expecting another baby.
Enjoyed a fun Christmas with family and playing in the snow.
January 2013
Had the Christmas tree fire.
Found out that #6 is a GIRL!
Performed a vocal duet in church with Averee. My mom accompanied on the piano and my bro Ammon accompanied on the violin. We put together an arrangement of Childs Prayer and Walk Tall You're a Daughter of God.
