'Tis The Season...

We had a great Christmas this year. Some highlights were Temple lights, family parties, blessing Siena and taking Jacob to see the Christmas Carol at the Hale theater. We see this play every year, but this year Jacob was old enough to attend. Oh yeah, don't worry we also squeezed in some more urgent care visits, but I think everyone is finally getting better. I say this after having Dylan test positive (again) for strep throat after being on antibiotics for 4 days. Shout to my mom for hosting 3 parties at her home!!

1 happy boy + 1 not so sure boy + 1 crying boy = a success

At the Temple to see the lights. Too bad that about 10 mins after this picture was taken it started pouring. We did a quick lap and decides to go get some pizza!

Jacob loved to ask all the missionaries where they were from and Dylan wanted to know where their bikes were :)

Uncle Ryan and Siena (I am not sure why, but Dylan refers to Siena as Santa :)

At least the cousin were having fun while we were waiting for our table!

Christmas Eve
After eating a yummy Turkey dinner my mom made, we played Christmas minute to win it games, acted out the first Christmas, and played Santa Bingo and open pj's. The boys had informed Santa that we were sleeping at grandpa and nana's house so that he wouldn't miss them. After the boys went to bed, Uncle Ryan walked outside, rang some bells and did a pretty good ho ho ho. However I over heard Dylan saying that he heard Uncle Ryan outside. (Thanks for trying anyway Ryan!)

Acting out the Nativity

Dylan as a Wise Man

Jacob the Wise Man

Ryan was clapping for everyone :)

Christmas Day!!

Christmas morning!!

This was taken at about 8 am before we opened Santa's gifts. It was great of Jacob to smile, Dylan just wanted to get on his new bike and well Ryan, he just was wondering why he is up so early :)

My boys in their Christmas pj's. Ryan was up for about 5 mins before he went back to bed and slept until noon.

DJ Dylan!

Jacob got a Star Wars helmet and Dylan got a Transformer Helmet. They had fun crashing into each other :)

We had John's omelets and my homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast, yummy!!

Shadolyn and Mr. James

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and we wish you a new year of health and happiness!!

It's beginning...

to look a lot like Christmas!!

Lets just say we have spent a lot of time at the doctor's office and urgent care

Ryan is 9 months today and has survived his first case of strep throat (oh and a double ear infection)! Thanks for sharing, sweet boy!

100th Post!!

What better way to celebrate my 100Th post but with pictures of Disneyland and Dylan's 3rd birthday!!
There is nothing better then watching a child experience the magic of Disneyland for the first time. While some might think we had waited too long for this, I finally decided it was time. Yes, it was time to take John to Disneyland for the very first time :)
Oh, the boys and my parents also came along!

Jacob was so excited for Disneyland. Dylan was excited too, even though he had no idea what Disneyland was.

We spent 3 days waking up and WALKING across the street to Disneyland and California Adventures. I think the boys were in heaven, even John opened his heart and let in the magic :)

Love this picture!
Everyone with their give a day pins and John, Jacob and Dylan with their first time pins!

Mickey!!

Ryan with his new ears!! Thanks Grandpa!!

Boys with grandpa! My dad is always happy to make the blog :)

Dylan looking for fish!

My mom and Ryan spent a lot of time together :)

As soon as Dylan saw the rockets, he asked grandpa if he would take him! My dad was awesome with Dylan, one night my parents we waiting with the younger boys while Jacob, John and I went on space mountain. My dad didn't want Dylan to be left out and not get the Disney experience. So he took Dylan around and let him get every different kind of food he wanted (fries, cotton candy, a churro and a Diet coke :) You don't have to be a certain height to enjoy food!

Thanks nana and grandpa for a great time!
We had a blast!
(This picture is classic because it capture Ryan trying to eat nana's necklace. The second my mom picks up Ryan, he immediately looks for her necklace!)

My sweet and funny Dylan turned 3 on the 19Th of November! It was a hard time for me trying to make this time special for him and taking any chance I had to go spent time with my grandma. Anyway, Dylan had a great day (or week)! He already seems older to me. Dylan is my boy who makes everyone's heart melt. He says or does the funniest things. He is definitely adventurous and brave. (Jacob will usually wait until Dylan has tried something before he will.) I can think of many times where Dylan has jumped or fallen and I know for sure something is broken. While his crazy ways have ended him up in the emergency room a few times, there is no cuter boy in this world. Whether he uses Ryan as a step stool or randomly hitting Jacob he is a perfect addition to our family! We LOVE you Dylan, Happy Birthday!!

We took him to Olive Garden after Jacob convinced him that this was his favorite place to eat. Bread, noodles and french fries? Jacob we are on to you :) Dylan did love the cake!! On his actual birthday we took him to get pancakes for breakfast. He was so excited because he knew he got to pick out a cupcake since it was his birthday!

Build a Bear was not as exciting as I thought it was going to be. I think the play ground and Santa outside was more entertaining. He told Santa he wanted fighting guys for Christmas!

If you know Dylan, you know that he smells EVERYTHING!!
After lunch at CPK we took everyone to U- Bounce to play. The boys had a blast!

Jacob feeling brave!

Do we look tired or what? Definitely time for a QT trip!

Later that night we had an awesome family party at a local pizza place!

Stinky the garbage truck!!

I love all the kids watching!

As Dylan was blowing his candles out a little drool fell on the cake too!

Oh and if you are wondering what my totally awesome and adorable husband surprised me with for my birthday, well...

SWEET!!!!

Thanksgiving

This year we had a very different Thanksgiving.
My mom did not make a feast.
We were not gathered around a festive dining table.
This year, all of my parents, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousin, aunts and uncle gathered in beautiful Santa Barbara to remember and celebrate the life of my very sweet grandma, Lenna Marie Wall.

If you have been around me for the last three years or so you know it would be very common that anywhere I was my grandma was too. We shared many days together, I will cherish those days. When we moved here we lived with my parents and my grandma, so my boys got to know her very well. I am so thankful for this! She was always so sweet and loving, she never lost her sense of humor. Grandma was an amazing baker, my love of baking and all things sweet came from her. Our hearts are broken as we celebrate the holidays this year, for she was very loved and will be very missed!

Two things I want to remember about this day. First, during the the musical number, all the grand kids and great grand kids sang "Love is Spoken Here". Jacob and Dylan surprised everyone during the boys part by sing super loud. It was sweet and funny! The second is John walking the boys back to our seats after singing and listening to Dylan talk in his not so quiet voice saying "that was awesome, daddy" and "I love that song". That boy is too cute!

Thanksgiving day we gathered at the Church and had a great Thanksgiving from the Country Meat Market. The kids played dodge ball and ran around. Afterwards Jacob asked Nana if she had fun at his party :)

Oh and look who no longer army crawls!!

During the week we were in California, we did all things Santa Barbara. We went to the Brown Pelican for breakfast on the beach (which is now the Boat House), ate on the water at Moby Dicks (after dinner Jacob threw a lobster claw off the pier and a seagull caught it :), got t-shirts at UCSB, went to the beach, zoo, State Street and many other memorable places! Basically I only remembered my camera at the zoo:)
The Santa Barbara Zoo has this awesome hill that the boys and cousins loved sliding down!

I don't know why, but I LOVED the pink flamingos

He is my buddy!

This zoo was so beautiful! Look at the ocean in the back!

On a lighter note it is December 1st, which means the Elves started coming last night and my boys could not be more excited!!
