Well, here I go! Yellowstone pictures from almost 2 months ago. Let me just tell you, I LOVE Yellowstone and can't wait to go back. I haven't been there since I was little, so I couldn't really remember anything about it. I was a little nervous about going, mostly because I was scared about all the different animals around my kids, especially bears. That fact that 2 days before we got to Yellowstone a hiker was mauled by a bear didn't help! Anyway, it turned out to be a great trip and a great family reunion for ALL of John's family!!
I think this was our first animal sighting!!

This was by far my favorite place! This was taken at West Thumb. (FYI, the best gas station with the best diet coke was nearby)!
Love the pose Jacob! :)
Can you guess what boy was going to be brave and touch the water first?
See the buffalo
Yes, Jacob stepped, slipped, and fell in a big old pile of buffalo poop!! I kept telling myself it was mud, even though it didn't look or smell like mud! John and I were both laughing so hard we could hardly breathe. Luckily we had done a bit of school shopping and Jacob changed into from fresh clothes!
Maybe this guy was the culprit!
I was not leaving Yellowstone without seeing a bear! Luckily on the last day, we got stuck in traffic (this means there is animal sighting, or an RV went flying off the road :)! Anyway, when we saw 3 park rangers driving up we knew we were going to see something good. Well, as we slowly got closer to the park ranger, we watch them stop a car in front of us. I about squealed (OK, I did) with delight when I looked to my left to see a bear that was about to cross the street in front of us!! So fun!

We made to Washington safe and sound. While it was a little cold for me (most days were in the 50's and 60's) we had a blast. My boys LOVE Washington, they talk about going all year long. We were gone for 6 weeks, so I have a lot of pictures to share! :)
