Hi, My Name is Maren and I Have Become a Nester.

Hi Maren!

It's become a serious problem...This baby better get here soon or John, Mikelle, and MeLisa might kill me.

John has been helping me deep clean the house, sand and repaint furniture, and rearrange rooms.

MeLisa came over and drew the pictures that I painted for the nursery.


Mikelle "helped" me sew these bumper pads...and by "help", I mean she pretty much did it.

I owe these guys big time...for their services they will be allowed to hold Ava extra long and change her nasty poo.

She's Been Thunderstruck

Yesterday and today I have been able to see Flava's feet. It's totally weird. She kicks out and then leaves her foot there and rolls it around my stomach. John says she's rocking out.

Babeh Shower

My awesome family put on a baby shower for me over a month ago. I didn't take very many pictures...that was MeLisa's job. She uses a different camera....Daddy's camera. So, here are a few that I actually did take on my iPod (not great quality).

Megan might literally kill me for posting this picture. She is due the same day as me...can't you tell?

It's the Final Countdown...*Guitar Solo!*

37 weeks! Holla! Being full-term is awesome because now the Flava can come whenever she is ready! Hopefully, she is ready sooner than later....my body is having a rough time here.
Worst feeling right now: Being SWOLLEN! Seriously, my body has become a fat ball of butter with a yummy side of cankles.

Best feeling: I think she is pretty anxious to get here...she is getting waaaaaay wiggly.

So, Flava, let's get this show on the road! I'm ready whenever you are!

Midnight Showings are Hard

I sometimes forget my body is in the middle of a mid-life crisis like state and I have a harder time doing things that we used to do all the time....like go to midnight showings. Movie was good, however, the body did not feel so good for a looooooooooooong time after.

Yeah, John, MeLisa, and I went to the midnight showing.
Yes, KC, Ashley and friends did dress up.
No, we did not.

For "The Flava's" Nursery

That's right, we call our baby Ava the Flava. Bad parenting? Maybe. Awesomeness? Completely. So we made these things for the nursery even though there isn't a nursery yet. So these awesome objects sit in a big pile in our basement.
We also realized she has way better things then we do.

This is my favorite! MeLisa drew the picture, then John and I painted it and put the boards together.
John is a total stud. He built these boxes from scratch with no plans or anything.


I found an old frame at DI and then painted it and put chicken wire behind it. Holla for headband organization!
