Ashley "Doodles" Birthday

November Recap~

Ashley turns 7!  We took Ashley out of school to go to lunch with her best bestie Addie.  She wanted to go to Subway.

New Big Hero 6 satchel with her meal.

Last day of soccer.

Luke helped to coach all the other kids.

Go Rockin' Rino's

Ashley wanted a puppy party this year.  She is obsessed with dogs.  All her favorite Netflix shows are about dogs.  She loves Ruff Ruffman, Pound Puppies, Cliford, Puppies Party, and all the Buddie movies.

She had some friends from her class at church come to the party.  They made puppy dog ears and did a Best in Show obstacle course digging up bones, jumping through hoops and catching Frisbees.  Brinley won with the fastest time.

We got her a new soccer net and ball and still her favorite gift was a puppy calendar from the dollar store. That girl is easy to please.

After the party we had to run to Aiden's baptism and when we got home Ethan and Noah enjoyed playing with the Coco Puffs.  They would put their faces in the bowl and see how many pieces of cereal would stick to their faces.

"Take a picture of me in my hoddie, Mommy"  Ethan loves it when he gets to pull out Noah's old clothes.

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year.  Rick and Dalila came too. I didn't take any pictures except this one of Noah eating one of his many turkey legs.  Rick made us our own turkey to keep aside from the one that he brought to eat that day.  Noah ate all the legs to the bone.  He is a turkey connoisseur, and he loved Uncle Rick's fried turkeys.

Trick-or-Treat

October Recap~

Off to our 2nd annual Chaplain Training Conference.  Listening to conference is always a renewing experience, but throw in the amazing addition of the LDS Chaplain Training and it's just an unbelievable week of learning and growth.  I'm lucky to be a chaplain's wife. I have seen John grow because of the opportunities he has had with being a "Bishop" over the Border Patrol agents he works with.  Being pregnant and nauseous made the trip a little harder, but mostly I just missed the kids a lot.  I have officially decided that time away from the kids isn't all it's cracked up to be.  My kids are awesome and I don't like to be away from them.

John's parents were able to join us for the weekend.

Ruth Lingard and I were able to "Heart-attack" our other counselor, Karla Westbrook's house on her birthday.  It was fun to try to make here birthday a special one.

Just a short time after making my vow to never leave my kids again John's Grandpa Bert passed away.  John has been there for me through all my family funerals and I was lucky enough to get to comfort him when he went to his grandpas funeral.  We flew out to Oregon to be with the rest of his siblings and his parents.

John got to share a spiritual thought during the services.

Thrift shopping in St. Helens.

They had some awesome Halloween decorations in their town square.

Boo at the Zoo
Luke~ Harry Potter, Noah~ A Storm Trooper, Ashley~Ty Beanie Baby dog, Ethan~ Sheriff Woody.
It was entirely to hot to be dress up in costumes at the zoo all day.

Pumpkin Bowling
Noah got a strike on his first roll.

Here is a pose that I find John in frequently with his new calling as a High Counselor.

Went on a Costco (or as Ruth calls it Cost-Co) run with Ruth and kids to prepare for the ward Trunk-or-Treat chili cook-off.

I wasn't feeling good and decided not to go to the annual red ribbon parade until John sent me this picture of Ashley.  How could I not force myself up and get Ethan ready to walk in the parade with those cute kids.

Noah with his best bud Ethan S.

They wore their Superhero capes that Grandma Chaffin had made them.

Kitty Cat Counselors at the ward Trunk-or-Treat

We drove to AZ to attend the Phoenix Temple open house and be with cousins for Halloween.
The bus ride from the parking lot was the kids favorite part of the tour.

We ate at Raising Canes after the open house.

Then it was off to Andrea and Eric's to play some games and do some Trick-or-Treating.

It was fun spending time with family on Halloween.
